Fans will love it, newbies will get caught up in its affectionate style and energy

As much as I would love to silently slip into the crowd of people saying "I was there, man" in the comments sections of the various places where this film is available, the truth is that I wasn't there and frankly am not there now. I have listened to (and enjoyed) a few things by LCD Soundsystem but beyond that the people, bands and output of the label DFA is really not familiar to me so I guess to a certain point I am not really target audience for this short film. On the other hand though perhaps I am since there is not really a lot of detail for hardcore fans in this film, and while they will still love the way it is delivered, the main impact the short will have is to send you to the internet to look up more of the music from the label.

This will happen because the limited tracks played are good but more importantly the film is very affectionate and ramshackle while also having a professional air and being very well put together. It does this with style and energy which I found engaging and instantly made me like the people and the music, in the way that one does with people who are fun to be around and are doing what they enjoy with their time. People who dislike the music and know nothing of any of it will maybe not care for the film particularly, but even then I think they will appreciate the manner in which it is made and delivered. Fun, affectionate, energetic and well made.
