A Love Letter to "the Better Angels of Our Nature"

This is an incredibly powerful, highly intelligent and sensitive documentary. In the best sense that I can think of, it does not preach or tell; it shows in detail and very concrete the utter badness of war, but also how good, emphatic, respectful and caring human beings can be. The camera work, the collected footage and the interweaving of the story lines is outstanding.

What I admire about this documentary is also what it does not do. It is not out for hatred against "the enemy". Although it definitely takes sides against the war it is not ideological and it is not educational in a superficial sense. It also does not drown you in despair and helplessness.

This is a very impressive, timely, careful and well made anti-war documentary. It is a heart-wrenching and often heart-breaking love letter to the people of Ukraine whose suffering, resiliance and care is shown.

I just hope that very many people will see it!
