Absolutely terrible, ignore the previous reviews

I'm still in shock at what I just sat through.... I have no idea what the previous reviewers watched, but it couldn't have been this.

This film was dire in all departments - acting, production, story, script- you name it, this failed at it.

The story was ridiculous to the extreme, especially the way the husband just carries on with life (with his mistress). There was zero talent in the acting department and the extreme low budget meant that the whole thing looked and sounded like a straight to TV 1970s 'thriller'.

Honestly, this ranks up there with 'birdemic', please don't waste your valuable time with this, you will regret it. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Don't listen to the friends and family of the cast and crew.

I really do think the rest of the family members and friends of the cast that are obviously reviewing this film, should have bad things occur to them for their dishonesty. I'd like to say this is utter garbage but that really would be unfair on the garbage. In fact, given the choice between watching this or sitting down and staring at a pile of rubbish in silence for 80-odd minutes I'd take the latter without question. It should be made a crime for films like these to be created in the first place. Everybody involved should hang their heads in shame.

    Flowerman - An Absolute Gem!

I cannot rate this movie highly enough. It is one of those hidden gems that you come across on a dark night before bed. The relationship between the two main characters, Nigel and Sarah, is so dark, creepy and sinister that is seemed wrong to enjoy it. And the creepy character of Nigel Simmonds, he belongs up there alongside Hannibal Lecter and Norman Bates. And the actor who plays Nigel, Jason Savin, his performance is superb. Did he win any awards for this movie? Within the film is some delicious dialogue. It is so delightful. As soon as I had watched it I had to tell all my friends to watch it as well. We sometimes quote the dialogue to each other when we meet up. This movie is well written, well filmed and well acted - an absolute gem!

    "You Belong To Me, Now!"...

Sarah (Amy Ormston), her husband, Andrew (Ian Stewart Robinson), and their kids enjoy a quiet, small town life. Sarah works at a flower shop, where she encounters a rather odd man named Nigel (Jason Savin). Sarah is unaware that Nigel has been stalking her and her family, doing bizarre things, and growing increasingly obsessed with her. Untold horror ensues.

    Sort of.

FLOWERMAN is a low-low budget film from the UK. Ormston is fairly convincing in her role, while Savin comes across as both insanely eeevil and intensely annoying. His nasal voice and ferret-like grimace provide a bounty of irritating moments. This approach makes him utterly detestable!

The other issue is the movie's length. At 94 minutes, about 15-20 minutes of meandering could have been excised.

MAN A$$ ALERT: Nigel's bumpy buttocks provide the only real nudity in the movie! Beware! Look away! Now!...

Be prepared to sleep with the light on.

If you have seen the Lovely Bones this may remind you of it. It told the story of a spiritually pure and ideal family and their encounter with disturbing events that seemed to tear them apart. This was an unusual quality. It was simple but also sophisticated. It was certainly disturbing. It achieved this without horror – as in The Lovely Bones. It was because of this quality that the disturbing nature it makes and impression and the creepy quality of it was as good as any I have seen. One thing that it does is keep you guessing. The story is not predictable, far from it. It was well written, well directed and well acted and low budget. Don't let this fool you though. It does not have the cringe factor that can sometimes infect a low budget film. I think it is the sort of film that you will want to watch twice and be prepared to sleep with the light on!
