Absolutely fantastic movie. Good work on screenplay. Feel good music. Worth for money to watch. Mr. Housekeeping is a heartwarming Tamil movie about a young man named Ramu who finds himself unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. Desperate for work, he takes on a job as a housekeeper for a wealthy family, despite facing ridicule from his friends and family. Initially clumsy and unfamiliar with household chores, Ramu's sincerity and dedication win over the family members. He forms a special bond with their young son, teaching him valuable life lessons. Through his hard work and positive attitude, Ramu not only transforms the household but also discovers his own hidden talents and self-worth. The movie celebrates the dignity of labor and the importance of finding joy in unexpected places.
The movie deals with generational elements in a subtle way such that it doesn't feel like the elements are forcefully mounted upon. Eventhough it has few unconvincing elements in the first act, the movie goes on smoothly from second act onwards. HB doesn't seem like a debutant. Losliya and Rayaan did their part really well. Siva sha ra as a love mentor lifted up sentimental scenes from becoming overwhelming and other comedians too. The director did an aptly enough work to neither overwhelm nor underwhelm us. And the highlight is all main characters are imperfect with their own flaws which made them relatable. Idk why it is gaining lesser attention than it deserves.
Mr. Housekeeping is a typical love story told with modern-day references, starring OG YouTuber Haribaskar and Losliya. This marks Haribaskar's debut film, and he has done a commendable job. Losliya also performs well and fits into her role nicely.
It's a bit difficult to separate the positives and negatives in this film because everything feels mixed. Let's start with the writing: the first 10 to 15 minutes are quite dull, and it takes time for the story to pick up. After a certain point, you start enjoying the film, but then again, some scenes feel boring and make you lose interest. However, just when you think you're zoning out, something pulls you back in. It's a strange rhythm not quite an emotional rollercoaster, but more like a blend of poorly written parts with some genuinely good moments.
Why do I say this? Because the film does have some well-thought-out set pieces, and during those moments, it actually feels quite engaging. But the build-up and payoff for those scenes aren't written effectively, which reduces their impact.
If the writer had discussed the script with more people and revised it, this could have turned out to be an excellent film. Why? Because everything in this story happens for a reason. For example, the protagonist goes for a job there's a reason. He meets the girl again also for a reason. The intent is clear, but the execution needed refinement. Still, it's a decently written film overall.
In terms of production, the team has done a good job. If they had paid more attention to staging, blocking, and colour palette, the film would have looked even better visually. That said, it's a new team with a limited budget, and they've done a brilliant job considering those constraints.
Overall, Mr. Housekeeping is a good film to watch with your family. It's not perfect, but it has heart, and the effort from a new team deserves appreciation.

Mr. Housekeeping"m offers a blend of humor and heartfelt moments, making it a worthwhile watch for fans of romantic comedies. Despite its predictable plot, Haribaskar's commendable performance and engaging screenplay and exploration of meaningful themes provide an entertaining cinematic experience.
The film's technical crew, including cinematographer Kulothungavarman R and editor Rama Subbu, contribute to a visually appealing and well-paced narrative. Osho Venkat's musical score complements the film's tone, enhancing both its comedic and emotional moments.
Arun Ravichandran's direction brings a fresh perspective to the romantic comedy genre. The screenplay balances humor and emotion, exploring themes of unrequited love, personal growth, and the importance of consent in relationships. While the plot follows a familiar trajectory, the character development keeps the audience engaged.

This was so much fun to watch! Losliya was so damn cute in her expressions and acting! Haribhaskars as a debut actor did fabulous acting. Everything was thoughtful. This is way more than my expectations. Fun filled entertainer and a beautiful love story. This movie lived upto it's title. Not to be missed. Losliya is picky with her scripts and this one is definitely her best so far. Arun Ravichandran has a good future in Tamil cinema for such unique story telling. Rom-com in an IT background with familiar people is just bound to work! You would not want to miss this movie. Rayane also did a good job being a debutant. Los, you go girl!
