What a cracking interview this was, and a reminder of how absolutely wonderful Waking the dead was, a show that should never have ended when it did, it should have gone on and on.
Nice that The BBC took the time to acknowledge the show, good to know that it hasn't simply been forgotten. Even now it's still a million times better than much of what's on now.
What a lovely chap Trevor Eve is, so endearing, so talented, he really brought Boyd to life, he was equal parts good guy and monster, the character transformed hugely after Mel's death.
I loved the way Eve spoke about Sue Johnston, talk about respectful and warm. One thing he said, families make time to watch it, as a family we used to have a takeaway and watch it together, it was a ritual.
BBC if you're reading, just find a way to bring it back, we need this show, imagine it with Boyd as an advisor.
Watched this and the 2 part story, it served as a very welcome break from the election.
9/10.
