Pizza Panic Party

Came across this short on the internet after seeing some ridiculous, fake hype that obviously came from the filmmakers, desperately trying to hype themselves.

Thing is, this is nothing more than a low-level FX reel. Script and direction are basically non-existent, and all it serves to do is put a focus on low rent FX (think Henenlotter, but much MUCH worse) rather than anything remotely interesting. Acting is basement level, dialogue is navel-gaze baloney that feels written by a moron, direction is on the lowest edge of competency.

Wish I could have those minutes of my time back. This is a short film for people who don't like movies.

Well I don't think it was ever more fitting than here - still trying to break free. Yes no puns intended - neither in the summary headline nor right after. We have quite the interesting short movie here (horror, but you know that I assume). And it is interesting not so much because of the plot/story, but more because of the effects (practical!).

So if you like to see naughty stuff - hand made, coming out of other peoples heads so to speak and onto your screen ... well you could do worse than this movie right here. The acting is ok, but as with the story, this is not the focus of the short movie.

Nice throwbacks, not just music wise, but also with the tape/cassette player ... I wonder if kids nowadays can dig that ... anyway, even if not, they will understand the concept ... OPP - Other Peoples Pizza ... although people? Well that's a discussion for a different time.
