Ariel is trying to save his marriage, but his wife Isabel doesn't seem to be on the "same page". David, Ariel's boss at the publishing house, assigns him to write Augusto Briganti's biography, a smug media lawyer. Facing a crisis and at Briganti's insistence, Ariel agrees to join him that night, attending a flamenco performance, where he meets a very special person.

Ariel decides to travel to Uruguay to clear his head and focus on his book. However, he boldly invites Concha to come along and she surprisingly agrees to it. They arrive at their rented room and meet their hosts, a charming couple, Javier and Alejandra. All seems to be going well, although they have no idea what is about to happen.

Javier is an executive for a multinational company who has received a job offer he couldn't pass up. However, he is diagnosed with a chronic kidney disease that forces him to undergo dialysis for the rest of his life. In the midst of an economic crisis, Javier and his wife Alejandra decide to rent their guesthouse on Internet. Then, one day, after a great deal of hardship, they get some great news.

Ariel is saved from a heart attack, with the help of Javier and Alejandra, but he must stay in the hospital a few more days. He continues writing Briganti's book there. Meanwhile, Concha bids him farewell with a letter. Upon leaving the hospital, Ariel feels he owes his hosts and decides to use all his creativity to help them.

As a child, Concha learned Flamenco at a prestigious school that has produced some of the greatest flamenco dancers of all time. Her uncle, who became her guardian after her parents' death, promised to turn her into an international star. He then pressures her to engage in an arranged marriage. All she wants is to get away from the nightmare imposed by family obligations.

Ariel's book about Briganti turns out to be a hit. Concha calls Ariel asking to see him. He suggests going on a trip together again, but she ends up standing him up. Back in Uruguay, Ariel is reunited with his dear hosts, who fill him in on how their lives have changed since his previous, eventful visit. Ariel gets inspired and starts writing again.
