JAAR feels like lying safely beside your grandmother, listening to stories that slowly open your heart. With its gentle pace and soulful storytelling, the film paints a vivid picture of tradition, love, and quiet rebellion. The CGI tiger is a stunning touch, mythical yet grounded, an impressive first for regional cinema-feels both lifelike and natural, like something from a half-remembered folktale. The Himalayan backdrop only deepens the dreamlike mood.
A tender, timeless experience that lingers long after the credits roll. I would definitely recommend this movie, not just a movie but a work of art.

It's rare to come across a film that feels like poetry in motion, but Jaar is exactly that. The cinematography is absolutely breathtaking. Every frame is composed like a painting. I also have to mention the CGI tiger, which was beautifully integrated into the film. It didn't feel forced or artificial, it felt symbolic, majestic, and haunting, adding a layer of surreal beauty to a film already so rich in meaning.
The direction by Phurba Tshering Lama is subtle and poetic, never over-explaining, just trusting the audience to feel.
I walked into Jaar expecting a good film. I walked out feeling like I had lived someone else's life for two hours, felt their pain, their choices, their strength.

Each character in the entire movie was excellent. The cinematography, audio, visual presentation, and the use of the madal and songs were especially impressive. This movie is a pure form of artistic expression-please don't compare it with commercial films.
Indra Bahadur Rai - a prominent figure in Nepali Sahitya(literature) from the queen of hills, Darjeeling. This movie is based on his story, the movie is culture twined and depicts the Unforgiving rules but the Love is making the world go round.
Overall, it was a beautiful art film. I hope to see more such work in the future. Best wishes to the entire team of 'JAAR'.

Movie story is very short with no any extra plot.
Movie waste like 45 minute just for nothing.
No any good bond between actress and actor. They dont even show the love bond at first which is strange. 80% of movie is focused on actress who dont have much of line.
The story telling is extremely slow and more like chapter . Waste 1/4 movie just for scene. Saugat malla have like around less 7 min screen time.
Im pretty impressed by the CGI of tiger scene in the end of the movie. Comparing to mega budget movie like Captain staring " anmol Kc" the cgi game leveled up good in nepali movie industry.
Story telling 2/10 scene 7/10 they wasted great actor potential they could have added more dialog and more love bonding scene before ending in a Meh ending.

JAAT delivers a gripping cinematic experience, driven by masterful direction and flawlessly executed action sequences. The director's vision is evident in every frame-balancing intensity with style, and storytelling with spectacle. The pacing keeps viewers engaged, with each scene meticulously crafted to build tension and deliver payoff without losing narrative coherence.
What truly stands out are the action sequences. Whether it's hand-to-hand combat, high-speed chases, or explosive set pieces, each moment is choreographed with precision and shot with clarity. Unlike many modern action films, the camera work avoids overuse of shaky cam and instead lets the choreography speak for itself.
The film succeeds in immersing the audience through a strong visual style, thoughtful framing, and an energy that doesn't let up. For fans of well-crafted action and sharp directorial control, this movie is a must-watch.
