Jellyfish

Jellyfish was built on the smell of an oily rag, over a prolonged period of time, yet it left a deep impression on me. The abstract plot was very dark with a twist of humour yet Giles Chan managed to cobble together the production with clever cinematology, an interesting music score and some determined and believable acting performances from the entire cast but with a special shout out to up and comer Aidan Rynne.

For a debut indie film, it is top notch and surely a pre-cursor of some wonderful productions to come from a very bright light in Giles Chan.

He actually displayed some similarities to a young Stanley Kubrick so I hope he maintains his passion and sets his sights high.
