In Beilburg, Hadis gives Jill the Dragon Consort's ring as a gift after accepting her proposal. Arriving at the port after an enemy attack, Sphere, the daughter of the local lord and Hadis' possible betrothed, runs to his ship.
Hadis confronts Marquess Beil's group. Jill's desires may impact events. Marquess's cruel remarks toward Hadis concern Jill, who fears Hadis overexerts himself.
Hadis' enemies are conspiring against him. Jill has secretly worked out a plan to protect him, but she's locked inside a barrier and Rave won't let her out. Instead, he tells her the real reason she was chosen as the Dragon Consort.
