From what I believe is that this show has the potential to be better, from writing to acting. I, however have enjoyed the first three episodes that im actually rewatching it. Some people may think is too cliche or too poor of an acting or writing but you can start to see they are working through the scripts. I know that is hard to trust a process but i just know it will get better. (Thats me hoping). Sometimes you may predict what happen next on the show but sometimes thats a good thing, sometimes it might seem like a show you have already watched but is honestly not that bad, cop drama end up having the same elements at times and there isnt much you cant do.. I say giving it a try would be nice because is just the first three episodes, we dont know how it will actually carry itself for the next ones.

Only seen two episodes but it's a good start. Good acting and interesting storyline so far. My only issue is with the character that has had an untreated glioblastoma for 9 months. They wouldn't have lived for that long with it untreated and they would have a lot more symptoms and be unable to work. I get it's a TV show but this bit is just way too unrealistic for me (speaking from experience as a close family member had a glioblastoma). I know this is a dumb thing to focus on but it annoys me because they clearly didn't do their research and just pulled a diagnosis that would sound " good and extreme."
Look, anything Jensen Akles is in will be amazing. His brand of rogue humor is the best. The show is good. But man are they pushing some storylines in such a horribly obvious way. Oliveras is annoying and it's irritating how hard the storyline pushes her and Akles character. And they are bringing in other big arc "dramatic" story issues all in Episode 1. It's too much. Let us just enjoy the characters and cast. But maybe give Akles a female lead that works with his character because it's not working with the one they have.
I would love to see this rely more on good writing and character interaction and less on shock value. You have a great cast to work with, so use them and not all these random side plots.

Show starts for lack of a better term, awkward. Unsure if that's a writing/acting choice with a new task force coming together, or just clunky. But it's obvious.
Luckily, there is enough substance and intrigue with characters to get you through the first couple of episodes into what I would think is a fairly decent show. At least it had me turning up each week.
The decision to run with E10, is was not my preference and missed the mark. However, I'll count E11 as season 2 and get on with it.
Overall, I think the actors do great, music score and filming is good. But writing could use a writer's room to flesh out some of the dialogue and plot holes. Worth a watch and a season 2. But don't expect brilliance.

I've been looking forward to Countdown ever since I first saw the trailer for this. I started watching this with my brother the day it came out and we both loved it. It all starts and ends with another strong performance from Jensen Ackles. He plays LAPD detective Mark Meachum, who is recruited to a secret task force with undercover agents from all different types of law enforcement. They're brought together to hunt for a killer who murdered an officer with Homeland Security. As they investigate they find out a plot much worse than one murder victim. From there they have to race against time to save millions of people. There is plenty of action and drama to keep you wanting more. I can't recommend this series enough.
Did you know
- GoofsSeries is described as a "secret task force" working "undercover" yet they are all driving a classic law enforcement "Black SUV".
