"One Day This Kid," executive produced by Dan Levy, premiered at TIFF in 2024 and won the 2025 Narrative Shorts Jury Prize at SXSW. Inspired by David Wojnarowicz' 1990 "Untitled (One Day This Kid)," the film tells the story of a lifetime experienced by a queer Afghan man growing up in the shadow of his father. In addition to being handpicked for a curation by Andrew Scott, winning the 2025 Iris Prize and a Cannes Young Director award, the film has screened at AFI Fest, Slamdance, Hollyshorts (Honourable Mention) Palm Springs, Galway and Torino, and is currently streaming on The Criterion Channel and Crave.
