This was such a good episode that it made up for the bad episodes season three had, and there were plenty of them. People got fair screen time there was character development. They showed Carmie outside of the kitchen, staring at some thing and showed him having real conversations with people. I think my favorite B character on this year has been computer. Somehow he steals the scene every time he's there. It was just a very well-made episode and I think people that have watched season three expecting season two will be happy with this. Sorry, I am not a strong writer, but These are my thoughts. Also, Olivia Coleman is brilliant in this episode.
And this episode is the worst. Self-indulgent in the extreme. No plot. No character development. All the wonderful kitchen dynamics that made the first two series fly are missing. Instead we get endless long shots of Carmy staring at the floor, Syd staring at the walls, Richie staring at tables, interspersed with the Faks doing a 1990s sitcom.
No plot. The third series feels like White wasn't available for much of it because his scenes feel separate to the rest. There's an over reliance on supporting characters but they aren't given the same depth as Carmy so it all feels shallow. I nearly gave up by episode 6 but stuck it out. I wish I hadn't. What a waste of talent.

This is not a season about a chef kicking arse and taking names. It's about massive internal struggles, grief, lack of self belief, self loathing, gratefulness and forgiveness. The episodes are edited in a way that juggles Carmy's inner struggles, the noise in his head and how that effects him and those around him. If youve been there (that headspace) you'll know how hard it is to see what's really happening around you. When success feels like failure. It's never enough when your self worth is tied to something like your job. If you're lucky you'll look up and release your surrounded by people who love you, and that will hopefully be enough. Jeremy delivers the goods again. Beautiful season.............................................
Yeah, I'm sure the acting is great. Esoteric. Remarkable actors.
But a whole season setting up each character's backdrop..? The entire season..?
There was nothing of substance in the operation of the restaurant...the whole season. I invested in every episode, and waited for months, for it to get back to the gourmet dining that was emerging from a sloppy Joe nook.
There was absolutely no payoff this year, with one depressive episode after another.
Now, after this wait, we are put off again until 2025?
I'm sure it will win more writing and acting awards, but this year it lost a viewer that was totally engaged after the first two seasons.
And, geezus, how is this considered a comedy..?

I really enjoyed season 1 and 2, beautiful cinematography, quirky style and compelling characters that you care about even when they are being a**holes I love that this show has a lot of focus on the actual cooking but this season dragged, too much arty preposition not enough actually moving the main character arcs on. I don't feel like any plot points from episode 1 were any further on in episode
10. I'm all for a slow burn but this series left me starving, turn up the heat! At least watching the catch up before the next one won't take long.
I'll watch the next series because the characters are quality and I'd love to see them develop, but please light a fire under your asses!
