Good plot, good view, and "Aya" was awesome. She delivered and was a natural. The two leads though engaging were not as genuine as the other casts, it didn't feel natural. Barbie as always shines when she needs to let go of her tears and was very effective in being a good and loving daughter. David has nuances that speaks of his role but still needs to do better (John Loyd would be a good fit for this role during his prime years, i cannot think of anyone on this generation that could match his charisma, Joshua maybe?). There were some scenes that were cringey and lacking, probably because Barbie still looks young for this role and at times David underdelivered. Sophia was amply performed well by Kaila, not too much, not too lacking. To succinctly put it, good storyline, ill fitting leads.
Thought this was a very slow romance story; I would call it a "nice" romance story but not necessarily a rom-com as others are describing it. I didn't see any real funny parts in it. The story has a small bit of tension in it as another girl enters the scene to disrupt the flow but we all know from the very beginning how this is going to end anyway because it is so predictable that the tension added doesn't mean a thing. The male lead is cast perfect and the arrogance was played perfectly. IMO the casting for FL could have been better as I didn't see the chemistry that much on her side. The ending is a fairytale.
Why You Should Watch It Now
1. It showcases the undeniable & sizzling ✨ chemistry between Barbie and David that joyously 🎉 transcends from TV to the big screen. Even the seniors in the cinema where I watched it can't help giggle every time they have confrontation scenes. 😊
2. It's a romantic 💓 comedy that serves on point yet very tense🔥and butterflies-in-the-stomach inducing conversations between the main leads - you would wish you are there in the scene with them. 😊😊 The yacht scene is my most favorite. I wish Adam and Mila would stay in that yacht until they produce 12 kids together. 😂 😂
But, seriously, that yacht long-conversation scene can really make your heart tremble and make your knees weak. 😊 David has really mastered the subtle acting art. Every nuance, expression, gesture, and vocal delivery of someone who's falling in love - HE BLOODY NAILED IT.
3. Barbie Forteza wears so many beautiful dresses 👗 in this movie. She officially ended 💅 her teen-girl persona era while she struts around wearing all those chic and fashionable outfits.
4. Some scenes are filmed in South Korea. 🌸 They added more romantic ambiance ✨ to the whole story.
5. No villains, no side stories, the whole movie is all about how love finds Adam and Mila. 😊
6. No poverty porn! Yes! It depicts the Philippines positively - showing affluent places and decent working and dwelling spaces of the female lead. I just hate it when Filipino movies keep on showcasing poverty porn.
My only complaint is, it's TOO short despite the fact that it is a 2-HOUR-PLUS LONG movie. I feel like I wanted more. It's BITIN! It's not enough for me 😭 😭

The movie is feel good, funny and heartwarming at the same time. Barbie Forteza and David Licauco's chemistry is top-notched. From the moment they've met at the bar, the viewers can feel the intensity of the attraction between the two of them. It's rare for two individuals to have that much of a chemistry and compatibility even though they are not "together" in real life. Effortless, I may say. Barbie is a great actress, no doubt, David on the other hand, has this certain charisma that make your eyes glued on the screen. His eyes, facial expressions, conveyed the right emotions, with or without dialogues.
The supporting cast are also great, especially Divine. CAN'T HELP BUT LAUGH AT HER ANTICS. The screenplay, Cinematography are superb, technicality-wise.
Over-all That Kind of Love deserves all the praises. Hoping more people would watch the film.

Acting of leads were both good but in some scenes, the male leads had issues with delivery of lines but overall is satisfactory.
Storyline is quite predictable but no dull moments so you'll keep watching. The ending is not what I have expected but I am still satisfied.
Cinematography is 10/10 for me. They selected the best filming locations and the camera's angles were good. It's like watching a kdrama.
Chemistry of the main leads is 10/10. It's a beautiful pairing because they look so good together and that alone could be a reason to watch the movie hehe. No sensual kissing scenes but the "kilig" is to the highest level LOL.
