I promise you, alpha males (Spain) the original is sooooo much better!
It's a shame I think Netflix is seeing what hits and then just exactly copying it to another country. This is really a cheap way of creating content and massive creativity killer hence 1 star.
They already copied it to French and now to Dutch. This is NOT the way Netflix...
If you like the concept I really advice the original, it has a lot of depth, character development and it has 3 seasons so much more screen fun.
I normally don't give reviews but it really grinds my gears what Netflix is doing with this really good Spanish serie.

Unbelievable. This is exactly the same, to the comma, as Machos Alfa but in Dutch and much less funny. One more example of copying and misusing others' ideas and success instead of being original and creating their own, coming across as piracy.
How is this even allowed and possible Netflix and Dutch productions? Really really unethical behaviour, very disrespectful to all parties, viewers included. Do not support it.
Watch the original, the (really) good one, and do not sponsor this kind of initiatives and practices.
I wonder how do the actors and all other show makers feel about it.

When I found out that Machos Alfa (alpha males) was the original show from Spain. I compared several scenes, the settings, the actors, and shockingly noticed that the Spanish version has a 7.6 rating on IMDB, and the Dutch version only got 6.8! That's really wrong!! Come on, the entire cast of the Dutch version clearly has more pleasable presence to look at, the scenes are better set up with more color and detail, certain nuances in jokes are refined in the Dutch version too. I guess either the Spanish macho culture rates this type of show higher as there is more a need of cultural awareness, and isn't relatable/sophisticated enough for the Dutch. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense.
Honestly, I don't get why the ratings are so low - I've laughed more during this show than I have during most so-called "comedies" lately.
Yes, yes, we've all heard it's a copy of an original series. But guess what? I don't care. If it makes me laugh and brightens my day, then bring on the copycats!
As a proud Dutchie, I'm thrilled there's another season coming. We don't get nearly enough of these light-hearted gems on Netflix.
So to whoever decided to renew it: thank you, you're doing the Lord's work.
Bravo Netflix - keep surprising us (preferably with more seasons and fewer cancellations, okay?).

Netflix has done it again and made a carbon copy of Alpha Males.
First they tried a French remake, which didn't hit the mark and now they're trying a Dutch version.
If you haven't heard of Alpha Males, its a Spanish comedy about 4 men in their 40s, struggling with modern masculinity. They explore a seminar that aims to teach them how to better themselves. Roosters is a remake, set in the Netherlands rather than Madrid and would potentially be good on its own merit, but having seen Alpha Males, Roosters is not worth watching.
Search for Alpha Males - its funnier, lighter, more engaging and the characters are likeable.
