    A great watch!

Everything was beautiful, from the cinematography, acting, and location to the sound inside the film. It's complex, heartwrenching, yet relatable and realistic, with the characters facing life complexities, dilemmas, and struggles. It's everything from self-image, identity, love, differences in social class & opportunities, dreams, family/financial circumstances, etc. A total tearjerker with many details to catch.

The movie isn't straightforward and allows room for you to think, interpret, and judge for yourself, which is very "human" in a way. There were just so many things to rewatch it for! The plot, details, beautiful cinematography, scenic views and acting. -it was an experience watching it on the big screen.

If I were the Thai government I would immediately censure this film, passing a man who goes with a teenager who still goes to school for a good man is truly disgusting

Many times you will find yourself asking you but this thing happened or not? But on this occasion things happened? It is never an answer, this film is really disgusting to show a sentimental triangle between a 35 -year -old man and two girls of just 16/17 years old who still go to school makes Thailand pass who is a beautiful country a squalid and repugnant place especially because it seems that no one cares instead of talking about prison talk about marriage I have been there many times I know the problems that the country has but is not with a film that you can face these problems! I am referring to the really basic inconsistent writing to the things that happen during the film but we are only mentioned and never deepened seriously, but the worst thing and that we are shown apparently good people as the 35 -year -old man as if he were a good person instead is a horrible person who is certainly not to compress or understand! There are bad people and good people there are no good people who behave badly, truly trivial writing, relationship between adult and disgusting, disgusting and ridiculous girl also the fact that after the relationship instead of talking about prison we speak of marriage, terrible history! To be censored.

    Another Emotional Triumph from GDH

I don't understand why this is labeled a comedy, it's way more emotional than that. Yes, it has lighthearted moments and warm humor woven throughout, but at its core, this is a deeply emotional story about friendship, identity, and the quiet heartbreaks of everyday life. GDH never disappoints. Their films always feel close to real life, and Flat Girls is no exception.

The cast did an amazing job bringing their characters to life. I felt every moments, laughs, tears, and quiet heartbreaks. What I especially loved was how intimate and real the storytelling felt. The pacing is calm, almost meditative at times, allowing the audience to really live with the characters. There are no exaggerated plot twists, no forced drama, just life unfolding with all its awkwardness and beauty. It's this honesty that makes the emotional moments hit so hard.

Without giving away spoilers, I'll just say this, it left me hanging, but in the best way possible. It didn't try to wrap everything up neatly or give us a perfect conclusion. It felt more like life. Open-ended, uncertain, and real. Some viewers might find it frustrating, but I found it honest and even comforting. It left space for the audience to imagine the future of these characters, which made it even more powerful.

Another high-quality, beautiful film from GDH. I loved it.

    The Beauty of Empathy

This film captures the beauty and complexity of being human. Despite its heavy tone and the suffocating world it portrays, there is a subtle warmth and quiet hope woven throughout the story. It reminded me that even in difficult environments and less-than-ideal situations, there is still space for kindness, resilience, and dreams. Watching it gave me strength. My life isn't what I once hoped it would be - I'm not where I wanted to end up - but this film made me feel seen. It inspired me to keep trying, to pursue something meaningful, while also learning to accept the present moment as it is. Thank you for creating something so thoughtful and powerful. I truly gained a lot from this experience.

    Intergenerational problems on full display

This film moved me. Two girls coming of age start to move away from the innocence of childhood and experience hardship in various forms. Poverty from family addictions, dreams that seem out of reach, infidelity and marital breakdown. All from the perspective of Thai society in a humble flat.

If you're on the fence I recommend seeing it.

"Flat Girls" is a drama centered around the lives of two teenage girls, daughters of police officers, living in the same police flats. The film explores their friendship, which is put to the test as they navigate the challenges of adolescence, including the stark differences in their socioeconomic backgrounds. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the flats, highlighting how their environment shapes their experiences and relationships. It delves into themes of love, friendship, and the complexities of growing up, capturing the essence of a coming-of-age tale where the bonds of friendship are challenged by the realities of life and class differences.
