Initially, they decided to make this film in order to reunite a creative collaboration which started in 1988 at the University of Waterloo, where they were all studying acting together. When Covid shut the world down, they found each other again online and met regularly to reminisce, catch up, hang out. Mostly laugh. When the Firecracker Department, in partnership with the Canadian Film Fest, announced the Comedy Igniter, they knew they had their project and a deadline.
