Budding hairdressers, the Cork rap and the F-word as standard

Fresh from a foster home and just weeks shy of his 18th birthday Christy (Danny Porter) goes to live with his older half brother Shane (Diarmuid Noyes) in Knocknaheeny, a working class area of north Cork. Brendan Canty's feature film directorial debut (which he co-wrote with Alan O'Gorman) is a 2025 Irish relationship drama which sees Christy eventually reconnecting with his brother, trying to avoid dodgy cousins of his, and finding his calling seemingly as a hairdresser. The most interesting relationship he develops however (albeit briefly) is with a homeless woman (a Homeless Rough Sleeper Victim) called Chloe (Alison Oliver), but unfortunately this relationship is not developed. Jamie Forde as 'Robot' (the boy in the wheelchair) is a star in the making, and we also have the north Cork rap over the end credits, plus the F-word as standard. What more could you want?
