Hauntingly excellent

Sheridan Smith delivers the performance of a lifetime. Her portrayal of a distraught, angry and grieving mother, makes you believe her pain is real. Incredible. It's a travesty if she doesn't win an award after this. It's horrendous that this is a true story and the attitudes of the time make you glad we've moved on!!

Sheridan Smith At Her Best

Wow. What a story, a true one at that. Just like the drama about the post office scandal this reminds us of injustice at a National level and of the brave, tenacious woman called Anne Ming who fought to have the 800 year old law of double jeopardy repealed and succeeded.

No one does northern working class, outraged woman better than Sheridan Smith. She absolutely excelled in the role. Depicting a lady in her late 50s very convincingly.

Brilliant drama

This is a fantastic drama , what a courageous lady she was. A brilliant story well told this has fantastic acting throughout. Sheridan Smith is a fantastic actress and she embodies every character she plays. I love watching her. Don't hesitate to watch this drama. You will not be disappointed. It's very poignant and emotional.

Gripping and emotional

Sheridan smith portrayed this horrifying and deeply emotional series amazingly it's the best itv drama I've seen in a long time I think this story will stay with me my heart hurts for the family of beautiful Julie well done Sheridan smith and the courage Julie's mom had to bring this deeply emotional story back to life.

OK if you like Sheridan Smith being Sheridan Smith

This is definitely a Sheridan Smith show, written for Sheridan Smith and noone else. All the other characters are very two-dimensional or useless or both.

The police are particularly useless and incompetent as well as uncaring.

The men are all useless and only Sheridan Smith is given much in the script to get her teeth into.

If you love Sheridan Smith and the oarts she always plays, then you'll love it.

I just expect more from a drama.
