I usually give low budget films credit but I could not with this one.
This film had me hooked! Sure there were a few bad bits of dialogue and acting but that's what comes with low budget films and I love it! But then the ending arrived... And the whole film just collapsed and fell apart.
This editing had to be (I'm sorry to the editor but I have to be brutally honest.) some of the WORST editing I have ever seen. The sound effects are absolutely awful and the attempt at CGI is absolutely laughable.
Lewis Santer brought this film alive with his acting, but other than that, there's not a lot of good things to say. The editing, CGI, and sound work drag this film down extremely. The dialogue is pretty bad too.
I'm not even sure if this or The Mouse Trap was worse. That's saying a lot because The Mouse Trap was straight ass. Stop making Mickey Mouse horror films because there is no right way to do it.

This is easily the worst movie I've ever had the displeasure of watching. It was garbage from start to finish.
The acting is easily the worst I've seen. In scenes where they're being hunted down, everyone looks kind of bored. It felt like it's a college project where they had $50 to make a whole movie, didn't focus on writing a script at all, and used the $50 to buy day passes to their local amusement park. The only direction they gave the mouse character was "act like Art the Clown if he were given no direction, no props, and tragically bad acting to bounce off of".
The sound effects made me realize that there aren't any rules against hiring a 3 year old to do the heavy lifting in the editing booth. They spammed the same few sounds the entire movie, it felt like the days of Vine where the boom sound effect was spammed every 5 seconds. The punching and walking sound effects were the most egregious use of sound effects editing out of hundreds of movies that I've watched. I'm nearly certain they repurposed the Minecraft walking sound for this.
It works much better as a comedy because of how stupid it is. Wow. I actually can't believe this.

I don't know know where to begin. Everyone in this movie is stupid and wants to die., apparently? No one runs from the killer. Most of them are literally walking away from the masked killer they're so afraid of. The time sequences make no sense. One minute the killer is maiming a "teen"in a completely different section of the park and the next minute, they're chasing a different person on the opposite end. At one point the killer is fighting with his brother, Pooh bear, on land and in the next cut, they're on a boat.
The editing was terrible. The dubbing was horrible and the sound effects didn't match at all. There was random audience clapping throughout that made no sense. The CGI at the ending was atrocious (they obviously gave up at the end).
Just, nothing made sense. The character's actions made no sense. The dialogue made no sense. And they had the nerve to allude to ANOTHER DAMN MOVIE!!! No one wants that. Everyone involved in this abomination needs to be banned from cinema.

If you have the time to watch this epic failure, don't. It would be more enjoyable to be stuck in traffic while holding in diarrhea. Seriously, I have done both and shatting myself at least had some relief.
Now for this doodie bomb. Brendan Petrizzo "directs" this disaster that makes no sense and has no story. The sound is more horrible than the "cinematography". You can't hear anyone. It looks like it was shot on an early iPhone but saying that would be an insult to the hard working people at Apple. I wonder what it was like to be on set and say "Cut, I think we got it. Moving on." And then "editing" it? The nerve!
How does one have that confidence or show their face in public?
There's so many films out there waiting to be made and somehow this stinker squeezed out through the Tubi cocky tube.

Granted, I harbored absolutely zero expectations to this 2025 horror movie, as I've watched the likes of horror movies taking on classic characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Popeye, and they haven't exactly been stellar movies. Yet, I still opted to watch "Mouse of Horrors" on account of it being a horror movie that I hadn't already seen before.
Writers Harry Boxley and Marc Gottlieb put together a fair enough script. Sure, it was rather generic, even for a slasher movie, but it proved to be entertaining enough for the silly premise that it was.
So the movie ties in with the 2023 "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey" movie and the 2024 "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey II" movie, as killer Pooh shows up in the narrative.
The only familiar face on the cast list was Danielle Scott. Yeah, I've seen enough low budget horror movies to be familiar with her. The acting performances in "Mouse of Horrors" were actually fair enough, taking into consideration the premise of the script.
Visually, I found the movie to be adequate. There are some viscerally graphic murder scenes which made up for the otherwise bland storyline. Most of the special effects were actually not bad, but some were just laughable to look at.
The movie is tacky, sure. And if you are a diehard horror fan then I doubt you'll find much entertainment in the movie. But if you don't mind your horror movies mixed with a hefty doze of silly concepts, then perhaps you'll find some enjoyment in "Mouse of Horrors". I found "Mouse of Horrors" suitable enough for a single viewing.
My rating of director Brendan Petrizzo's 2025 movie "Mouse of Horrors" lands on a four out of ten stars.
