Surprisingly good! Examining pertinent issues of our time.

This movie aces a subject that has been in the news it seems all the time. I have discussed it with friends, while we are for being fair to all, we also don't care to have to deal with the so-called realities of the point-at-hand, male athletes in women's sports.

A bit of scholarship propels the plot, that being Federal Law Title 9. So, in a relatively short movie at a fast pace, it's laid out for us with the most basic facts.

Now, maybe the Court flexes the laws to benefit the Plaintiff, the girl swimmer but that is what gives this movie a topic that we can all reflect on.

Acceptable performances by the cast as well. I will watch it again.

Pretentious pandering of a mess of a movie.

And God Made Man" is a cinematic disaster that attempts to tackle profound themes of creation and humanity but ultimately falls flat on every conceivable level. It is a muddled mess of clichés and poor storytelling that leaves viewers more frustrated than enlightened.

From the outset, the film drags us through a convoluted plot that seems to be more focused on its pretentious philosophical musings than on crafting a coherent narrative. The dialogue is riddled with cringe-worthy lines that feel like they were ripped straight from a high school debate class. Instead of engaging the audience, the script often feels like an exercise in self-indulgence-an endless stream of jargon that lacks any real substance or emotional depth.

The performances are equally disappointing. The cast, which boasts some recognizable names, seems to be sleepwalking through their roles. There's no chemistry between the actors, and their attempts to convey the weight of their characters' existential crises come across as hollow and unconvincing. It's as if they were told to act profound without any direction on how to actually do it.

The right movie at the right time...

"And God Made Man" takes a thoughtful and powerful approach to tackling the real issues that youth are facing today. The story resonates strongly given the cultural and religious challenges confronting many teens and young adults, especially in a rapidly shifting world. The film effectively uses actual statistics and real-life examples to reinforce its message, lending authenticity and weight to its perspective. While some of the dialogue occasionally felt unrealistic, the overall message is clear, direct, and impactful. This film encourages reflection on the deeper questions surrounding identity, purpose, and faith, making it a compelling watch for audiences of all ages.

    Could have been better

The subject matter was very important but the way it was shown in this movie was not very good. The courtroom scenes were absolutely clownish. The defense attorney, first of all, was not properly dressed to appear in court. She wore casual clothes and looked disheveled and sloppy. I worked in a law firm and no respectable attorney would appear in court looking like that. The other attorney was an absolute clown. I guess he was supposed to be some sort of nutty professor type but it didn't work. He came off as ridiculous. The producers and directors should actually be ashamed of themselves. Grade school students could have made a much better movie. They took an VERY important subject and turned it into a circus. I loved the idea of the movie and was hoping to see something intelligent and well done. Christian movie makers, DO BETTER! I was looking forward to it when I saw Kevin Sorbo and Dean Cain's names attached to it but I was very disappointed. DO NOT BOTHER watching this terrible movie. It could have been much better, it SHOULD have been much better.
