"The idea arose in the church on the occasion of the death of director Pieter Verhoeff. A speaker there said that Pieter had fought so hard and for so long for what should have been his best film. This later became apparent from his notebooks written by his widow. had it read. This probably happens to all of us filmmakers: You dream (of) a film, you start working with passion, your film becomes more and more beautiful and even better, you live completely for this - and then something happens that prevents it from happening. continues... you continue to struggle for a while, but in the end your best film is canceled. And then you also have to let him go, because you have to move on.

"My best film that was never made" is a small ode to all those wonderful film projects that were never made.
