Not Bad for a Very Low Budget B-Slasher

There is a very Yin and Yang flow about this movie. It balances in it's GOOD parts (acting and writing in a few good scenes, the whole killing to retrieving the "something borrow, something blue",some really good shots and camera work) and it's BAD parts (Technically: the movie "shows" it's low low low budget. with it's Bad sounds mix, the almost amateurish editing, the video and audio effects are effective in parts but very low grade, TV like.)

But overall I must say The Bride definitely tickled the senses of this Horror/Slasher fan.

Qualifies for the Title of the worst Movise ever watched.

I bet that a Bunch of kids can get together and come out with a better Movie Acting and direction. Except for her, The Actors are probably recruited for the Side walk in front of the Studio, and if they didn't, they should have been paid with Pizza. or paid by the Hour and the Story Plot Though it sounded Interesting as a Bride comes back for revenge " Sort of like KILL BILL" but when you start watching the only thing you will think about is: what the hell is that!!!! All in all this will Rank among your worst Hour and twenty Minutes ever spent in front of the Screen, and you will probably finish it because it is short anyway.

Title: "The Bride (2013): A Dark and Thrilling Horror Film with Room for Improvement"

Introduction: "The Bride," a 2013 horror film directed by Marcello Daciano, delivers a dark and thrilling viewing experience. With its intense atmosphere, haunting visuals, and a resilient female lead who kicks ass, this low-budget flick offers an engaging and memorable watch. However, while the film has its strengths, it falls short in terms of storyline and camera work, leaving room for improvement.

Captivating yet Flawed Storyline: "The Bride" presents a captivating and twisted storyline that draws viewers into a world of suspense and intrigue. However, it's worth noting that the narrative could have benefited from further development and refinement. Certain plot points may feel rushed or underexplored, resulting in missed opportunities to fully engage the audience. Despite these flaws, the film manages to maintain a gripping hold on the viewer's attention.

Unsettling Atmosphere Hindered by Camera Work: Daciano's skill at creating an unsettling and atmospheric tone is evident in "The Bride." However, the film suffers from shortcomings in camera work, which occasionally detract from the immersive experience. Some shots may lack the desired impact due to technical limitations or missed opportunities for effective framing. With improved camera work, the movie could have further intensified its chilling ambiance.

Low-Budget Limitations: As a low-budget production, "The Bride" faces the constraints of limited resources. While the film demonstrates creativity in making the most of its financial restrictions, there are instances where the budgetary limitations become apparent. Certain visual effects or production values may not meet the standards of higher-budget productions. Nevertheless, the filmmakers deserve credit for delivering a commendable result with the resources available.

Worth a Watch for Fans of Low-Budget Flicks: Despite its flaws, "The Bride" remains worth a watch for those seeking a quick low-budget horror flick. Its intense atmosphere, visceral moments, and the presence of a compelling female lead make it an enjoyable experience for genre enthusiasts. If you can overlook its shortcomings and appreciate the film for what it is-an ambitious low-budget endeavor-you're likely to find it an entertaining addition to your horror movie playlist.

Conclusion: "The Bride" (2013) presents a dark and thrilling horror film experience, albeit with room for improvement. While the storyline could have been more developed and the camera work more polished, the film's captivating atmosphere, intense moments, and the presence of a resilient female lead make it a worthwhile watch for fans of low-budget flicks. If you're looking for a quick, atmospheric horror fix, "The Bride" can provide an engaging and memorable experience despite its limitations.

    Not bad for the budget

Some couple made up as usual these days of a pathetic guy and a girl in charge go out to spend some time in a cabin the woods. They plan to get marries so the girl puts on a bride dress. Guy disappears. When she finds him, there's 4 bad guys who threaten him. She doesn't give in easily so her guy is shot. She defends herself, manages to escape, and injure some of the bad guys. They catch up with her eventually, serially rape her, kill her and bury her.

The bad guy boss shows up at some point and the goofs have some make up some ridiculous story. He sends them to look for her.

At some point the bride is possessed by some native Indian bride's spirit who underwent a similar fate centuries ago. So no she's revived and looking for revenge and some items as well.

The Bride is ultra low budget. Despite that they managed to give us some nudity and some gore. The movie is short but it feels long since for a good chunk nothing is going on.

I give it 3 stars, for the nudity, the acting of the actors portraying the bad guys, and the script during the final act that actually gets kind of funny.

    Leave This Bride

A woman and her soon to be husband are kidnapped by a few guys and taken out to the woods where she is raped then both are killed. They make a mistake and bury them by a tree that is cursed by a bride who was raped and killed and has mysterious powers. Oops. The vengeful spirit jumps into her body springing her into taking revenge action.

The film doesn't really go anywhere we haven't been but does almost seem like Avenged (2013) and of course borrows heavily from I Spit On Your Grave. I found it boring and just regurgitated themes. You don't really care about any of the characters.

Leave this bride at the altar.
