Icebreaker

I wish I'd had the nous of the other reviewer to switch this trash off after two episodes. Unfortunately I ploughed on with growing disbelief and anger at what was being spewed onto my screen.

Yep, before realising Eemil was some sort of reanimated corpse Sanna had two opportunities to shoot him and didn't. Why hesitate when your partner is being murdered or you're being threatened by an axe? Likewise when Martti had his psychotic episode and threatened her and Toni with a stolen gun. Nothing.

As for the supernatural aspect of evil fisherwomen waiting at the gates of hell and wishing to drown mariners for company, it was so absurd that I was astonished this was being presented. Even worse was the coincidence of Sanaa's dad's death and where and how it happened.

I forgot to mention the plot device of sending crew members off by themselves to do things or search while there's an axe murderer around whose whereabouts on the ship is unknown. This was meant to engender tension but in fact inspires amazement that the writers were so useless.

Don't make my mistake and waste time on this. Don't even start to watch.

After two episodes I really wanted the ship to sink so we'd be free of all this nonsense.

The coast guard is a psycho who can't make a single rational decision. When her life is in peril, she waves a gun that she never uses, multiple times ending up in self imposed bad situations. Her mind drifts off for ever and ever and ever, over and over, as if we didnt' get the picture the first time around. The people she is supposed to rescue are all psychos too, so why anyone would want to rescue them when they make zero effort themselves beats me.

And they all walk so slowly I want to sleep to fill in the wasted space. It could have been a really interesting series, but the never ending silly decisions make for a really tedious series that I can't bear to watch the third episode.
