Freen Sarocha Chankimha and Becky Rebecca Patricia Armstrong has done it again! Coming back even more charming and experienced actresses from their debut lead roles in GAP The Series, this is one Period Drama that all should not miss!
It tells of two mesmerising young girls growing up together in the palace and having care and love for each other since only to slowly discover their care and affections are not only platonic. The drama that unfolds as they were growing up and having to be separated by the seven seas for many years and the yearning deepens. This unleashed their innate love and desire for each other and the drama is yet to unfold!
Watch it... especially sapphics.. you wont regret it at all! Freen and Becky has outdone themselves once again and worked soo hard. As a mami I am utmost proud of em :')

10/10 even putting aside my bias lens.
Wonderful cinematography & directing. Yes the source novel is absolutely wonderful but the script-writing of the series & directly brings a different nuance. The characters - from the main heroines to the supporting cast all have so much life.
This is a period romance that is beautifully paced and no scene feels out of place. Every supporting cast is given the right scenes to shine and they serve to move to the plot forward.
Pacing so far is done well. Love scenes are beautifully directed & intimate - and they are not done for the sake of inserting s*x scenes. Rather as a viewer, you get so invested in the relationship that it's only natural for them to be making out/love etc.
In spite of the heavy drama to come, I think the series thus far has managed to tastefully inject comedy together with some light-heartedness.
The Thai Culture & elements are also woven into the plot nicely rather than just randomly showing up as a requirement (because of Ministry sponsorship)
I am so seated for what is to come.

A New Era Begins when it comes to captivating storytelling, few genres have the ability to evoke emotion and transport viewers to another time quite like period dramas. Add a sapphic twist, and the result is something truly special. The latest offering in this niche is a remarkable period drama that has already garnered significant attention, and for good reason.
The talented duo of Rebecca Patricia Armstrong and Freen Sarocha Chankimha is back, reuniting in roles that showcase their undeniable chemistry and skill. After their breakout performances in GAP The Series, where they captivated audiences with their portrayal of complex characters and a nuanced relationship, fans eagerly anticipated their return. This new project not only highlights their growth as actresses but also enriches the genre with deeper narratives and more profound emotional arcs.
A Rich Narrative At its core, this period drama is about more than just romance; it delves into themes of identity, societal expectations, and the struggles of love in a world that often seeks to confine it. Set against a beautifully crafted historical backdrop, the story unfolds in a time when love between women was often hidden or forbidden. The characters navigate a world filled with societal pressures and personal dilemmas, making their journey all the more poignant.
Freen and Becky's characters are well-drawn, allowing for a multi-dimensional exploration of their personalities. Their performances are filled with subtlety and strength, offering viewers a glimpse into the complexity of their love story. As they face obstacles-both external and internal-their relationship evolves, highlighting the beauty and challenges of love that defies convention.
Stunning Visuals and Production Quality One of the standout features of this period drama is its production quality. The attention to detail is evident in the costumes, set designs, and cinematography. Each scene is crafted with care, immersing viewers in a richly textured world that feels both authentic and enchanting. The costumes are particularly noteworthy, as they reflect the era while also adding layers to the characters' identities. This visual storytelling complements the narrative beautifully, drawing viewers deeper into the characters' experiences.
The cinematography captures the essence of the time, with sweeping landscapes and intimate close-ups that enhance emotional moments. The careful use of lighting and color further establishes the mood, transitioning seamlessly between moments of joy and despair. This visual artistry contributes to an overall experience that is both immersive and impactful.
The Importance of Representation In recent years, the demand for diverse representation in media has grown significantly, and this period drama rises to the occasion. By centering on a sapphic love story, it offers visibility to a community that has historically been marginalized in mainstream media. This representation is crucial, as it provides validation for those who see themselves reflected in the characters and their struggles.
Freen and Becky have become role models for many, embodying characters that resonate with viewers on multiple levels. Their performances not only entertain but also spark conversations about love, acceptance, and the complexities of human relationships. The show encourages audiences to embrace their identities and fight for their love, regardless of societal norms.

Either if you are a FreenBecky's fan or not you should watch this.
This is not like the other GL's out there with toxic characters, or very little episodes that they had to cut scenes resulting in plot holes.
The series has 16 eps and so far the first 10s (show is still on going at the moment) were very well crafted.
For the first time watching a GL I felt the pace of the storyline amazingly flowing, showing every detail and most of all, showing a proper character development.
The love story at the centre of this show is very well represented, never felt this much represented in a long time: the longing, the anticipation, the looks, the yearning, the sadness, the pain and the tension.
The built up is incredible.
The story has "red flag" characters, but this time they are there to make people aware of what is wrong in the society, not there to glorify them.
Also, the show has a very talented and well known director and we can see it throughout the very well written dialogues (never felt cringed even once), little details, amazing shots, wonderful wardrobe.
The representation of Thai culture is also insane, that's why this is the first GL backed by the Thai government.
Extra points of course for the unmatchable chemistry FreenBecky have on screen, they are not my favourite GL couple and yet even I am surrendering to them as the top 1 chemistry couple.
Shoutout to both of the actresses (especially Becky) for their acting development they had since Gap, they are not my favourite but we can see their effort they put to improve themselves.
In conclusion, give this show a chance, it's worth it.

The Loyal Pin is a masterpiece where every detail has been meticulously crafted. From the intricately designed props to the expertly chosen camera angles, it's as if you've been transported back in time. The rich Thai culture is vividly portrayed, not just through the beautifully authentic costumes, but also through the depiction of their food, customs, and the intricacies of Thai royal culture from that particular era. It's evident that extensive research went into this production, ensuring that even though the story is set in a historical period, it captivates the viewer at every moment without a hint of dullness. The storyline is masterfully adapted-I adored the novel, but the changes in the series have elevated the narrative, spotlighting the true brilliance of the story.
FreenBecky has shown remarkable growth in their acting-it's truly breathtaking. They breathe life into their characters with such depth and authenticity that you can't help but feel completely absorbed. The love between their characters is palpable, conveyed through nothing more than a glance, making their connection feel profoundly real without even needing physical contact. Their intimate scenes are a delicate dance-soft, slow, and subtly powerful, drawing you in with every moment. There's not a single awkward second; instead, you find yourself yearning for more, left breathless and speechless. It's not about lust; it's about the pure, genuine love that radiates from each scene. Everything is perfectly placed; nothing feels forced. You'll experience a whirlwind of emotions-joy, sorrow, laughter-as you watch, and despite the emotional roller coaster, you'll find yourself craving more with each passing scene.
For anyone who enjoys a touching GL romance set against a royal backdrop, TLP is a must-see. Its engaging story and rich depiction of Thai culture create a truly captivating experience. Watch TLP and immerse yourself in this unforgettable love story!
