A simply beautiful short movie, the quality of all aspects of the production was excellent, good pacing, amazing story telling!
Many details make this film real remarkable. the atmosphere of fairy tale , in new clothes, the music, the humour and the not surprising but real beautiful performance of Thomas Brodie - Sangster. it is, in same measure, a great parable. about love and freedom and fundamental choices and family and sacrifice. and this does it special. a happy meet more than a short film. for remind, for translate, for identify, for give the right word for a world so familiar and so different. so, a great film. with the most inspired end.
This little film asks some age old questions. For one, is a beautiful end better than an eternity of boredom. Another makes us wonder why there is no effort at some kind of change. For me, I'd like to know how they all got up there with their goats and chickens. Really entertaining. Quality of performances is a cut above the usual for this company.
In terms of style, story, sets and filmatography... this is a lusciously absurd and beautiful movie that could easily be confused for a Gilliam movie. Anyone who loved the absurdist futurism of 'Brazil' or 'Zero-Theorem' will love this short and identify with the story-telling style.
Will someone please PLEASE pick this up for a feature length project? As it stands it's an easy sell... or, with Sir Gilliam on board (and I'm sure he certainly would be) a full length version of this this would literally sell itself.
Basically, this is a full and satisfying Gilliamesque movie made in 20-minute short form ... The characters are utterly amazing, the writing is superb and the plot is, at once, inspiring, tragic, funny, beautiful and incredibly sweet.
Forget your average student short - here, the production values are every bit a masterpiece... making this film a true jewel among shorts. Certainly, all Gilliam fans should watch this.

As someone who doesn't usually take the time to watch short films, I loved the minimalism of this piece, truly a work of art and a testament to the human experience.
I follow Thomas Brodie-Sangster's work, and this sat on my watchlist for a few months before I decided to watch it. His acting is phenomenal, as always, but I was delighted to find that all the other actors did very well, too!
The visual aspect is what struck me most. The effects they used are well done, and the more difficult stunts were most likely green screen, but it blended well and created awe-inspiring backdrops to a wonderful love story.
Another small detail I loved was that the director trusted their audience to remain engaged throughout, not giving us unnecessary information and letting us make our own conclusions.
