Saw this on an airplane and picked it because it was short enough to finish before the flight was over. Didn't expect much, but I was quite entertained. Great dialogue, some stabs at Millennials, Zooming and Airbnb disappointments. Debates real life relationship issues in a humourous manner without being disrespectful.
Zachary Quinto's deadpan delivery is hilarious, and this low key movie knows that good comedy comes from actors and director being serious. There are very few moments when it gets a bit over the top.
Not much criticism about the characters -fiance John is maybe a bit too perfect l, but that's it. This is not laugh out loud comedy, but I was grinning throughout and had a couple of chuckles.

Very little to storyline. Unconvincing acting, neither the engagement nor the friendship r
were convincing and so it was hard to invest in the thin progression of the film.
Overall, very DULL with a real lack of wit in the writing. Characters lack dimension. Bar scenes ridiculous. Only humor was in the Airbnb owner, but that didn't progress the thin, thin storyline.
Mainly suffers from really dry characters and actors. Premise is good, but on the whole, the movie is a boring slip. I could barely stand to finish it. Maybe put it on for a nap. Rare to see such dullness in the acting from most every main character.

Stumbled on this movie from an online People Mag article. Really a fun movie with a great story-line and first-rate acting.
I knew Delaney Buffett was a writer and director, but I didn't know she was also an actor. She was really very good in this. Very talented. I would love to see her in a serious drama, since she really appeared to have the talent.
The tory is great and fairly predictable. But the ending came as a complete surprise to me! Very cleaver.
Also, notable was the character of Dougie, played by Cory Walls. His character was unexpected and a wonderful addition to the quirkily story. Great job.
The use of Delaney's father's music was a wonderful treat and a great way for her to subtly honor Jimmy Buffett.
Highly recommend this!

The Dumbest Movie I've Ever Seen
This film was a complete disaster. No plot, no acting skills, and visuals that looked like they were shot on an iPhone. Uncomfortable to watch. I'm convinced my IQ actually dropped while watching it. It honestly felt as if someone went to a psychotherapist, learned something extremely superficial about human emotions, and thought, "Perfect, I'll make a movie about this." Instead of depth, the result was shallow, cringeworthy, and frustrating.
Not great, not bad, entertaining enough to keep it on for the full 1.5 hours, but nothing I'd recommend for anyone to watch. Definitely felt like similar characters to PEN15 - many similarities of being childhood friends and working through issues that are caused by simply not talking to each other.
It said my review is too short, so I'll simply repeat everything I just said...

- GoofsWhen Delaney is having a zoom meeting with her friends, she turns her camera on where her actual background is different than what is actually shown on her computer screen. (An extra pillow behind her and she is in a different position in the room altogether.)
