In the original, Director's Cut, (spoiler alert) Peanut is found dead in the parking lot. Darcy gets up in the morning and finds him, all hell breaks loose at the motel and Peanuts parents, Toni and Ali (played by Heidi Philipsen and JD Casey) flip out. Pete the Creep peaks out of his hotel room and Toni and Ali assume they killed Peanut. Toni goads Ali on to beat Pete the Creep up. Only we, the audience, know the truth -- Peanut wanted to get a closer look at the stars, secretly left his hotel room the night before and climbed onto the second floor where he fell from the railing to his death.
