I highly recommend you watch this anime. It is a fantastic series that you will thoroughly enjoy. While some of you might avoid it because the concept is similar to many other anime shows you may have seen, trust me, give a chance. Is a very relaxing anime, and once you start, you will binge-watch it in one go. It ends, you will find yourself eagerly waiting for the release of season2, hoping it will come soon.
The character development and storyline in this anime are amazing I can only urge you to give it a try, as may leave you feeling refreshed.
Alright then, goodbye! If I come across more good anime, I will surely let you know.

I just finished watching this anime, and I absolutely loved it! I got hooked right from the first episode and couldn't stop until I'd binged the entire season in one go. The animation was solid, and the character designs stood out, especially the main guy as an older, unlikely hero--it felt fresh and unique. The balance of humor and action was spot-on, keeping things entertaining without ever feeling over-the-top. The intense training scenes were brutal but made his growth feel so satisfying. The powerful party was hilarious and had great dynamics with the protagonist. I'd love to see a season 2 because this story has so much potential to keep going!
If you enjoy shows like overlord, one punch man, or eminence in shadow, this one is for you!
The fight animation is wicked and it's filled with a ton of humorous moments that made me giggle as a 26 year old man. Rick is a likeable main character even though he isn't really the center of the show. This isn't a series to watch for a complex or interesting storyline, but it's one that satisfies my chimp brain itch of overpowered OC's railing against the world.
I look forward to this show every week and wish it was all out so I could binge it in a sitting.
It does one thing really well and that's my favourite kind of anime series.

I didn't expect much going in, but this hit way harder than i thought. The main guy starts off weak and clueless, but through pure effort and nonstop training, he becomes a total beast. Every fight scene is exciting and sharp, and the animation holds up all the way through. The characters are actually written with care and you grow to love each one. There's no wasted time, just 12 solid episodes that know exactly what they're doing. Emotional moments hit, funny moments land, and the ending feels earned. It's one of those shows that quietly turns out to be amazing. I couldn't imagine this would touch me so much. I started late but who cares. It perfectly captures the idea that hard work goes a long way. The fights are epic, the animation hits hard, and every character feels just right. This was perfect.

Cinematography / Animation: The animation in this anime is INCREDIBLE! You will NOT be disappointed. The fight scenes were so fun to watch because they were animated so well. I've seen many people talk about the fights towards the end of the anime, but not many talking about the very first fight. That was the start of how great this animation was going to be.
Editing: We definitely had a story here. Rick wanted to be an adventurer. We got the backstory to how he got his REAL start, we got the backstory on his training, among a few other things. And they were placed properly as well... obviously annoying when they have to happen during a fight scene, but they actually are informative and make sense. There were no moments in the anime where a cut or episode did not make sense (as in, it was out of place). One thing that stood out was the character development of two specific characters. Most anime's I have seen with rivals, the rival constantly just hates the other and it becomes unbearable but in this case, they actually accepted Rick (to some degree).
Mise en Scene: One thing I liked about this anime is that if something was broken, it stayed broken. There are so many times where you cut to something and it isn't the way it was in the previous scene. But in many fight scenes and even some scenes that weren't fight scenes. The continuity between scenes were good, and even if things weren't the same, they either showed you why or told you why so you weren't left in the dark.
Performance: I want to compliment the emotion portrayed by each individual character in this anime. But I specifically want to applaud Takuya Satou (Rick) and Katsuyuki Konishi (Kelvin). Rick's ever changing emotion was fun to watch. I specifically enjoyed when he was angry (on someone else's behalf) or scared. Those two emotions were portrayed PERFECTLY in my opinion. As for Kelvin, the defining moment for me was how the actor portrayed him when he was having fun. That one emotion in response to someone else, gave me goosebumps.
Sound: The sound was incredible. The sounds in the fight scenes, the sounds when emotions were expressed, there was not a single sound in this anime I did not like. I will say... one character's voice irritated me, but it was necessary and I still enjoyed every sound despite that.
Overall this should definitely be an anime on your watch list. I hope it gets a second season.
