    The Worst indie film ever.

First off, what kind of sorority is led by two 80-year-old women and inducts women in their mid-30s? I guess I can start auditioning for frat boy roles even though I'm in my mid-50s.

I'm trying to think of something positive to say about this movie, but it's really hard. I mean reallllllly hard.

I guess I did learn something: nudity cannot make bad acting or a bad movie good.

This movie makes me wonder, was the acting really so bad that it made the movie terrible, or was the movie so bad that it made the acting terrible? I'm going to say both.

Sorry, I can't think of one positive thing about this movie. Very unattractive, out-of-shape actresses littered with tattoos(and in one case bruises), and zero acting ability. It amazes me that movies like this get made.

A generally fun and likable indie effort

Arriving at a remote lakeside cabin, a group of sorority pledges looking to go through the final round of initiation hazing to impress the leaders of the sorority, but when they realize the dark secret at the heart of the process must try to stop it from coming true before they all disappear.

Overall, this was a rather fun and enjoyable feature. Among the better aspects to be had with this one come from the solid setup that provides a great haunting atmosphere on top of being a fun starting point for introducing everyone. Getting to know who the girls are when they arrive at the house, undergoing the type of treatment they do at the expense of it being hazing rituals to get into the sorority, and seeing the conflicting personalities on display creates a sense of disdain for each other that brings everything together nicely. We get enough to get an idea of the kind of people they really are and why they joined the sorority, so that the humiliating rituals and tasks they perform have a strong character-building sense that contributes quite a bit to the atmosphere of the house, where the constant interactions make sense when they're going through an elimination-style competition. This is handled well enough to be a fun time overall and sets up everything to come later on quite nicely, since that allows this one to bring about some really enjoyable sequences involving the truth about what goes on in the sorority coming to life. From the early hints that the two leaders are doing something nefarious behind everyone's back, with just their comments and sly looks that are far more devious than expected, it causes one to start thinking that this one has something going on behind the scenes. That gets brought into focus even more when the situations presented here turn far more devious as the rejected pledges are killed off in quite graphic encounters with the witches, using their powers to manipulate the victim to the point where something dark and brutal can occur, involving eating their victims or supernaturally altering their fates, so it has some impressive scenes here. They're fun enough as cheesy, graphic moments that it comes together alongside the frequent nudity from those well-qualified to deliver it for quite a lot to like. There are some minor drawbacks that keep this one down. Most of the issues here revolve around the slow pace that manages to keep the pacing quite sluggish and dragging for much of the first half. Since the interactions throughout here are based far more on getting the girls to meet each other, go through the initiation rituals and tasks that they're being asked to do, and not much in the way of genre content because of that, the film takes such a long time setting up those factors that it takes a bit too long before all the witch shenanigans start up that this has some serious pacing issues. The other factor here is the bizarre series of twists in the finale, trying to make the whole thing make sense, but instead just complicating matters for the sake of creating a method of defeating the witches and getting a new way to continue things from there. These aren't big issues, but they are just enough to bring it down somewhat.

Rated Unrated/R: Nudity, Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, and drug use.

Not as bad as it could have been

Oh boy, where to start. In a plot that is as straight forward as it gets. Two cannibal witches (Lynn Lowry and Ann Myrna) take revenge on college girls at a secret sorority for what happened to their family. One might ask how they have been getting away with killing and eating girls to stay alive for centuries and not get caught, well, don't worry about it and enjoy the movie.

Night of the Dead Sorority Babes (actually the film takes place over a couple nights) offers plenty of gratuitous nudity, which kicks off the film when the girls are stripped down to their undies, plenty of butt shots, some lewd actions with bananas, plus the typical pillow fight. The usual character tropes are present, there's the bitch (Anna Clary), the shy one (Angel Nichole Bradford), the smart one (Mel Heflin), the "ditzy" one (Ashleigh Amberlynn), the tough one (Kelsey Livengood), and the highly charged sexual one (Jessa Flux). Normally these characters would be nothing more than canon fodder. Show some boobs and get knocked off, but these are more than one dimensional characters, they have depth, backstories, and dare I say, character development.

The acting is average. Lowry and Myrna look like they are having a blast during the kill scenes that are done in a colorful palette that calls back to Creepshow. They crack one liners, some corny, as they knock off the girls one by one. Flux adds humor along with sexual teases with her roommate Amberlynn, who is not who she appears to be. Bradford and Livengood bond as the film progresses, though it be short and not fully fleshed out as the others. It's Clary and Heflin that carry the films poignant moments and the characters I felt most attached to, but it's Clary that gets the most character development out of the cast. Finally there's the sororities sarcastic head female Roxie (Mia Katz) who steals every scene she's in and I loved every minute of it.

I get what directors Angel Nichole Bradford and Steve Hermann were going for here and for the most part they succeed. Night of the Dead Sorority Babes knows what it is and doesn't take itself seriously until it needs to. It's a run of the mill, nonsensical horror film that despite its many flaws, is a guilty pleasure enjoyable film.

    5/10.

    Fun indie horror flick

I love the fact that all of the girls are not Barbie doll sticks and actually have personality in the film. Whether it's being a ditzy acting blonde, or an airheaded brunette with fake boobs all of the girls played their part well, and even added a slice of humor at points in the film.

It's a fun watch with a little twist you may or may not see coming. Either way, give it a shot and go into it with an open mind.

The plot is a little loose in some spots but overall serves its purpose and even leaves it open for a sequel at the end.

Oh and you get to see some really beautiful curvy girls who are topless, with their booties hanging out almost the entire film. ;)

    A fun indie horror flick!

The new pledges arrive to Gamma Rho Kappa. Sisters Kimberly and Angelica run the house with the help of Roxie. Roxie is in charge of initiation of the new pledges. The new pledges include; Veronica, Blair, Bambi, Megan, Victoria and Lucy.

Veronica is the artsy one. Blair is kind of shy and timid. Megan is sorta of the blatant and rude one of the group. Bambi is the sweet one. Victoria is the bubble head and Lucy is the tough one.

Roxie is putting the new pledges of Gamma Rho Kappa through the paces to see who's worthy. The mysterious sisters, Kimberly and Angelica pull the strings. It seems Roxie is the only one that they trust with their dark secret. Before long the pledges start disappearing one by one. These new pledges are in for more than they bargained for.

Night of the Dead Sorority Babes is a fun B horror movie from Acrostar Productions. It was written by Steve Hermann and he co-directed with Angel Nichole Bradford. The cast is like an All-star cast featuring some of the most popular actresses on the current indie horror scene. Some of them established and a few of them up are up and coming.

The cast includes; Lynn Lowry (Shivers, The Cat People), Ann Myrna (It Came from Somewhere), Jessa Jupiter Flux (Murdercise, Babezilla vs the Cyber Skanks), Angel Nichole Bradford (Night of the Axe, Crackcoon), Mia Katz, Anna Clary, Samantha Hupp, Mel Heflin (Don't Drink the Milk, Waspzilla), Ashleigh Amberlynn, and Kelsey Livengood/Mischief (Babezilla vs the Cyber Skanks).

If you're a fan of indie horror, be sure and checkout Night of the Dead Sorority Babes and then leave a positive review or rating.
