Hey. This is a former voice actor for this series talking here. I've noticed that negative reviews left by other former cast members seem to be being taken down, but all we've been trying to do is to warn potential future cast about what they're getting into...
The Cyclist is, well, the plot is very convoluted. It's quite difficult to tell who is talking as the voice actors are constantly changing and the mouths of the characters do not open.
But what I'm really here to talk about is something that I find personally quite concerning. Firstly, you need to understand that The Cyclist is a series acted by mostly minors. Recently I know the creator has been making an effort to try to involve more adults, but there are still a lot of minors in the cast.
That being said, it is made apparent in this series that an 18-year-old character may be crushing on a 12-year-old character, which is just... uh... yeah. The creator has asserted that this was intended as a joke, however, I encourage you to look up the The Cyclist wiki (which is created and maintained by the creator), and you will see that it is listed under "serious ships" on the "existing ships" page. I will not say which characters for spoiler reasons, but personally the fact that people as young as eleven years old are working with a director who sees no issue with this being an element in her plot is quite concerning to me.
Thank you for your time in reading this.

I loved this so much I started watching all the way back in season 1 on Scratch and I imminently fell in love!!! It was the best series on the platform!! I started VA and decided to audition and became CeCe for a while. Even when I had to step down, I continued to watch the show and still do!! Its inspiring that someone could have that much f a commitment to a series!! I applaud the director, the voice acting, and everyone that made this amazing series. Keep going jess your a star!!!! I know that everyone in this series will go far in life and I can't wait to watch the process continue to grow!!
As a new cast member in S4, I decided to watch all of the previous episodes, and let me just say, it was incredible! The plot was super exciting and constantly kept me on my toes, wanting to know what happens next. The community is also incredibly nice and all the voice actors are all extremely talented. The fact that episodes are consistently posted every week is the cherry on top as well. For anyone else who has tried to make a show, you probably know that it's really hard. But The Cyclist still is consistent and the episodes just keep getting better and better as well. It was such a good show, and you should definitely watch it!
Ok so the theme tune is SOOO GOOD
Like a genius must have made it
Also the voice for the Narrator for 16 episodes in 2023 was really good.
And Rayalynn (122 episodes 2022-2024) and Cara (28 episodes 2023-2024) and Sabrina (122 episodes 2021-2023) I almost feel like I know them or something...
Besides that the story feels kinda boring and some of the VAs sound like they were held at gun point to say their lines
Also some of the characters' VA's are just credited by a single first name and I have no idea how to find more info about them!1!!
Also I wonder why the VAs keep changing... it's almost like they were fired or something.

Stories can easily span even more than 5 seasons without drying out. This one cannot. Just bringing in the next seasonal villain, while trying to keep the old ones relevant, and also never phasing out characters is a serious writing faux pas.
Before, I thought, oh goody! More story! But trying to juggle over 50 characters, all with their own unique stories and relationships, in ten-minute episodes is biting off more than pretty much anyone can chew.
One thing I would suggest (although I understand my suggestions will be in vain) would be making multiple series that are all in the same universe. It would let you not only flesh out multiple characters and their stories, but make everything feel less overbearing.
Once a week release schedule seems like a blessing, but being put together by one person? That's not going to end well.
Speaking of it having over 50 characters, the character designs eventually start to feel like re-skins of each other. It's like there's one of two default boy hairs and maybe like, three girl ones? It's either long, curly, or actually unique. There are only so many boys you can just plaster a hoodie or t-shirt on before the audience loses track. But at least their voices stay consistent and different throughout the story... right?
Wrong. Given the amount of quittings, firings and hasty recasts (especially on the days of it only being on scratch) the voices change a lot and have often in the past (before being replaced) have had people voicing multiple roles, despite the creator's strong opinions on double casting (having one actor do multiple roles)
All in all, the Cyclist is a product of incredible ambition but lack of outside direction. There's a reason multiple people's input is constantly being processed and considered and why professional and even other indie series are collaborative projects.
