Refreshing Twist on the Anthology Horror Genre

Had the pleasure of screening this on a night where snow was beating down on Arkansas. Perfect distraction! Narrated by Jinxx of Black Veiled Brides, and loosely based on his experiences growing up in an active paranormal house, his segues were the perfect entrance to each story. Comprised of 6 segments, this anthology told a wide variety of subgenres making it a sold horror anthem any fan could grab a hold of. Great character development, pretty impressive special effects and story lines that don't get lost in the mix. There were a couple of stories that stood out above the others for me, but I found something in each that I enjoyed. I wouldn't mind a second go round just to look for what I may have let slip by. Nice flick to enjoy with the lights turned out and some popcorn to munch on. Something for every horror fan!

Solid Anthology, Some Misses, Both the Hits are Top Notch!

This was a pretty fun horror anthology. A couple of the segments are truly great. I would call the final segment real art. The music and sound effects are very atmospheric and well done. I also really appreciated the practical effects. There is really only one segment I didn't like overall. I fault the story in that segment as being too unoriginal and expected. However, the overall movie was great to watch, mostly taking some familiar horror tropes and adding a unique take to them. Any horror movie fan would enjoy this one for sure. I also think there is something here for every horror fan, no matter what subgenres you are into. So, a fun time!

      Ready for more!

I liked all of the stories for different reasons. The makeup and props were all done extremely well. Even the acting was decent for the most part. The music was perfect in each scene as well.

I wasn't quite sure what I signed up for when the first story started. I didn't watch any trailers so I went in kind of blind. The acting was a bit rough but the script had some funny points.

Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to the one with the little boy so I have no idea what that one was about.

The ladies night was an odd story but the ending was brilliant.

The last story was very strange, it took quite a while for me to figure out what was even happening.

Jinxx talking between stories was a nice touch.

      Great anthology

6 short stories, all very well written and acted out. Keep your eye out for the 5th one, that one was my personal favorite 😍 followed very closely by the 3rd. Jinxx relating his personal experiences in between each segment was fun. The stories aren't as predicable as most of the other anthology type horror films I've seen so it was very refreshing for me to have those twists. Each story is short but conveys exactly what you need to know to understand what's going on. The acting isn't as bad as most of the other anthology films either. These actors and actresses didn't over act like a lot of horror people do. Overall a fun and entertaining film.

      Well done anthology

I really enjoyed this movie, the different segments were very different and interesting. Each one kept my interest and for the most part didn't have unneeded screen time that many short stories end up having. Each story was concise, gave the viewer what we needed to understand what was happening, and made it an enjoyable story to watch unfold. The script was well written and made sense. Most of the acting was well done, the camera work was really great, the special effects and monsters were phenomenal!

If anything, a few of the stories could have used an extra minute or two to extend it because it was a fun story! The vampire story was great but a little too short, I would have loved to see a little bit more character development or backstory.

Jinxx was a great narrator, and included his personal story really well. I enjoyed hearing a bit about his experiences. I do hope a sequel is made that is alluded to!
