I like it, it seems slow but the buildup is great and I like the different twist as ALL the other series are just FBI, CIA bla bla...but this is another level.
And the acting is not amazing but also not bad at all.
Worth a watch I would say and also he is a good actor.
Can't wait to see what happens next.

Praising Simu Liu performance on this one, Melissa with smart modern tech twists and stylish but sometimes confusing especially the field duties done by the Orphanage...!!!
Cold War spy vibes of 70s but with modern AI themes (blown my mind), plot is somehow keeps unsettling questions about who owns reality..!
Spy fans will love this one.

At first I saw the low to mediocre reviews, but decided to give it a try for myself. I found it entertaining, captivating, and found myself going back for more. I like the lead in Shang Chi so that helped. Watch the first episode or two and you'll know if it's for you. Form your own opinion, everyone says something different.
The concept of the show seems simple enough. A government agent gets his eyes and ears hacked but the show throws many twist and turns that do keep you entertained and wanting to find out what happens next since each episode almost end on a cliff-hanger each time.
The show does lose two stars for me because it starts off very plot heavy when this show best aspect isn't it's plot but more so the characters . However once this shift happens mid-season its takes you on a twisty ride that does keep you coming back for more to just finish the show.
Performance wise: Simu leads very well with a leading character you do grow to root for as he is just trying to prove himself and Simu handles the action scenes as well as you'll expect a marvel star too.
Melissa Barrera does extremely well with a mysterious and layered character that at times made you want more of story as the character is truly a classical spy mystery woman.
Stand out for me was Sinclair Daniel who I never seen before but playing a role that on paper seems thin, she brought it to life with such care and passion that you wouldn't expect from an analyst .
Overall I think this is a fun action series to watch and binge. It's very different from other things we have on right now and it will make you think .
8/10.

Whilst this isn't the greatest spy show, it is a good one.
It's nothing like Inception (movie) but has tiers of depth to it like Inception.
There are people complaining Simu Lius character is flat but considering the plot he kind of has to be (won't write why here as it's a spoiler but you should be able to see why when you watch it).
The premise is simple and not too far away from being credible in the real world, the plot is a simple find the bad guy and reveal who they are etc etc so nothing new there but also kinda the basis for every good and bad spy show/movie there is.
Was different enough to be fun, produced well enough to be entertaining and those complaining the titles being like a Sega game (I owned one) they are deluded and honestly how does the titles have any impact on how good the show is or isn't? A show with no titles or credits would be ideal for me as they are just fluff to the cast and team not part of the entertainment.
As for complaints about the music, well it's no Hans Zimmer for sure so it doesn't stir the emotions his scores do, but it's also not so bad that it ruins the show either.
You either like this kind of spy show (with a tiny bit of science fiction in it) or you don't but bombing it for silly reasons is pointless.
In short, it's a good idea reasonably well executed and I enjoyed watching the plot unfold.
