EJE CENTRAL is a film about one of the main avenues in downtown Mexico City. A crossroads between generation where buildings of several stages of the history of Mexico witness political and social changes. A Ying- Yang journey who define the idiosyncratic presence of the Mexican. Octavio Maya Rocha use once again the streets of downtown Mexico City using the meaning of the black and white crosswalk to define the contrasts of a country who become conquered. Where thru the years became transform into a new generation of people with several influences. EJE CENTRAL is the second film work where Octavio Maya Rocha explores the symbolic meaning of life using the streets of Mexico City. The first one was Zebra Life.
