Zeitgeist: Requiem

I used to believe most of my life that moving pictures had the capacity to alter humanity's fate for the positive with the meanings they convey in their messages and the beauty of their images.. but gradually I lost that believe in the last 25 years or so after witnessing how nothing changes in society but it is only getting worst instead.. until I saw Peter Joseph Films. This movie along with his other films brought me back all that lost hope that some films (like this one) do have the power to truly help us to understand each other and a way out and to change our destinies for good with the power of clarity, wisdom, sight & beauty.. Incredibly moving message! If here is only one film to watch in our lives is this one!

Peter Joseph isn't opting out of society-level work, like most people do. Don't let the haters or mainstream apologists deter you--this is vital stuff for all of us to think about deeply. These are ideas that can help us change our lives and change the world.

Peter Joseph's work may not make you feel like everything is gonna be fine...but if you're anything like me, you've known that everything is not ok for decades, and you just wish there was more you could do...that's what this film is for.

Let's get empowered, do the work in whatever ways we can, and try to make a better future possible.

The Zeitgeist movies changed my worldview in ways that no other work of art ever has. Zeitgeist: Requiem is no different and should be mandatory viewing for everyone who has not yet given up hope that we humans can peacefully and sustainably live together, if only we collectively change our minds about what's really important.

Peter Joseph does it again, with Zeitgeist Requiem. Like his previous titles, he lays out such a well-thought-out analysis of our times and society's failures. A must-watch!! If you haven't seen his other films, they are not required to be seen before this film to understand it, but it will certainly make things clearer.

Josephs Reqiuem challenges common societal myths in unprecedented way. Combining spoken historical content, emotional music and strong cinematics, it gets deep. Its not uncommon to drop some tears while engaged in the movie. It just has that level of intimacy, when you watch it with a open heart. In my perspective, this is what defines the zanr of artful documentary.
