Draw Closer (2024) is a deeply moving film that captures the grief of life in a way that feels painfully real and at the same time shows that love that can transcend pain and suffering.
The narrative is beautifully woven, revealing layers of connection and distance, hope and despair. Every scene is charged with emotion, drawing you closer to the characters until their pain becomes your own. The cinematography is equally mesmerizing, capturing the subtle nuances of the story with a hauntingly beautiful aesthetic.
The story centers on love and loss, showing how these experiences shape us and sometimes break us. The characters' struggles with their emotions are portrayed so honestly that you can't help but feel their pain. This movie ruined me-it dives into the heartache of losing someone and the emptiness that follows, leaving you feeling heavy long after it ends.

Watched this movie on Netflix at 2am. I rarely cry at movies unless it's really good, and trust me this did not disappoint. I don't often watch foreign movies, but this one was so good. I was struggling to breathe near the end and my tears never stopped 😭😭. The acting was incredible, the music was good and the meaning behind the flowers was such a unique context to the story. It made me remember someone who I loved deeply but could no longer talk to as they moved on. So this story struck me in the heart so deeply, I haven't felt so affected from a movie in years. To anyone who questions watching this movie, please watch it won't disappoint.
P. S just learn this Ren Nagase is a Japanese idol in a group called King and prince. I was just streaming their music and it's so good. Cinderella girl song is so cute.

What would you do if you found out you only had a year left to live? 17 year old Akito Hayasaka only has a year left to live after being diagnosed with a heart ailment. Shortly afterwards he meets 17 year old Haruna Saluria who only has 6 months to live due to an illness.
At first Akito is crushed by the news of his diagnosis but after seeing how gracefully Haruna has accepted her fate he decides that he will spend the final months he has left trying to make Haruna as happy as possible.
What follows is thr story of two teens who have been dealt an early death, and their fight to make thr most of their final few months on earth. I really enjoyed this movie. The courage to look death head on and not be afraid and channel it to make the most of the time you have left was inspiring and watching Akito and Haruna's relationship evolve over time was bittersweet knowing of their diagnoses. Two teenagers struck will an ill-fate bond together and find courage to live.

From the beginning, you will know that there is no "hope". However, as you get deeper into the film, you want to hope for them.
Great Movie, as a romance fan of "dead" in the synopsis this movie satisfied me a lot. Before the 3 Gerberas reveal, i think the author do "too much" that this movie kinda feel like Your Lie in April and I want to eat your pancreas. I just don't like how this movie look like cheapskate of Your Lie in April(Anime), even tho this movie has potential but kinda wasted because they are "trying too much".
I really like the story telling, especially the 3 Gerberas scene, I love it really. Haruna, Miura, and Hayasaka really did well in this 3 Gerberas especially Miura the best character in this film.
Sinematography? Well its ok.
Acting? Good but not great.

A beautifully crafted movie with a story with messages which would turn viewer into some what a better person.
Thank you all the crew involved for making such a great piece of art!!💖
Here are some special things I loved about the movie :)
Cinematography and color grading is remarkable.. Some shots were like pictures drawn on a canvas, gave goosebumps. Massive respect for colorists and dop's.
Acting, script and editing was on point. Struck the emotions in the perfect manner and the movie went it a very great flow.
The background scores too went along really well!!
