The first scene shows dummy guys who think are alpha males being forced to take a class in getting rid of their toxic masculinity.
And you might think: maybe it'll be interesting to see these men learn to be better people, and get confronted on their BS.
Too bad, because the therapy makes no sense (jump up and down and feel the weight of your balls), and it never shows up in any of the posterior episodes.
Instead, it's about these dummy men being dummies, loose in the world, aggravating others, and being aggravated in return.
Also, isn't it ridiculous how reviews have a minimum of required characters, desincentivising people to write reviews?

Netflix, the money that was used to make Shafted would have been better spent on something else than this. The Spanish AlphaMales: 10 stars from 10. The French Shafted: not worth rating. It's not the actors' fault, sometimes Netflix's matrix slips into error. There's no chemistry between the characters, no magic that makes you wait for each new episode week after week while watching a good series, or if all the episodes are available, you binge watch them in one night and watch them again in a few months. There are good series remakes, but Shafted is not one of them. If it hadn't been for the original Spanish version, it wouldn't have been worse.
This is a carbon copy of another show on Netflix called Alpha Males. However Alpha Males is based in Madrid and the characters are more likeable, funnier and entertaining.
Maybe the backdrop of sunny Madrid versus the mirky Paris gloom lends more to the satirical premise which allows Alpha Males to shine (pun intended)
Both shows are about 4 middle aged male friends with differing relationship statuses with their women. They attend a class on toxic masculinity with the aim to make themselves better men.
Alpha Males strives to explore genuine gender topics of discussion in a comedic yet entertaining style. However Shafted doesn't seem to explore any gender bias with real conviction and your left with a not very funny comedy.
If you've already watched Alpha Males this will be a distinct disappointment.

Very entertaining side splitting humour
Do not watch this if you looking for something serious.
It's basically the same story as Alphamales also on this platform.
But do not compare . The story is irrelevant. It's light hearted fun.
If you do not speak French watch with subtitles. Do not watch dubbed as it loses the nuances of french culture and humour.
Alphamales is in Spanish and the same applies . Watch with subtitles and retain the essence of the Spanish culture. The dubbed version is in English has American accents and makes no sense if watched this way.
If you looking gif something serious this is not for you.
Just sit down one afternoon binge the series it is very entertaining relaxing and will for sure lift your mood.

I see that most reviews are comparing this show with its Spanish counterpart. I didn't watch the Spanish one but rather watched this and had a fun binge. I don't see any reason or sense to compare these two as this one was made for French audience with their lifestyle in mind. While I understand that the other one covered the gender aspects more profoundly but I don't understand why this has to cover to the same extent. Anyways, I wouldn't trust reviews (you don't need to trust mine) but if you want a fun quick watch, you can try this show. And as other review suggests, might as well leave the voice in French with subtitles to have a better experience.
