I am IN LOVE with each and every character. Fantastic chemistry. I was pulling for a happy ending in ALL the relationships. Dylan's love was just so palpable. Laurie Davidson is my absolute new favourite. What else is he in? I want to see more of him. Every actor brought their best to this. I hope it's a 10/10 as more people watch.
It's always important to feel like every actor is invested in a story and you really feel it here. Eddie and Bev were so believable as sisters. Dylan and Marcus were beautiful as 'brothers'. There's a lot of heart in this. It left me wanting a sequel. Very well done.

The perfect comforting watch balancing the fun of rom com traditions as well as offering a depth to the characters in its exploration of trust and boundaries in relationships as well as the intricacies of friendships and communication.
I thought the acting was class, genuine and heartfelt where each character was hatable, likeable, lovable and hilarious ! And it helps that they were dependably aided with a witty yet equally thoughtful script. It had everything that one would hope for from a Rom com, light and heartwarming and the right about of cheese. Definitely recommend this one to put a smile on your face! I'm left wondering what these characters are doing next ...!

Thankfully I read the book before watching this because if I hadn't I wouldn't have read the book!
The book is brilliant. This is loosely based on the book but so much is different. Important things! Things that make the story complete and relatable and relevant.
Firstly, why couldn't have been set in the UK? Why did they have to be abroad? Secondly, why is her sister in a lesbian relationship, and having sneaky talks about Addi not being welcome at their house anymore? The novel is huge on that family bond. The tv show rips that bond to shreds!
None of the characters are likeable in the tv adaptation. Do not get me started on Marcus! It's hugely disappointing. The flat share was brilliant. Maybe give that a go instead!

This is a reasonable reworking of a best selling romance novel. The story more or less follows the book but anyone who's read it will be wondering what on earth happened during casting. Emma Appleton is very good in the lead female role but Laurie Davidson was so wrong in the role of Dylan. And it clearly didn't work for the actors either: there is absolutely no on screen chemistry between them. The support actors, however, were rather good and saved it for me. The story is a bit meh, drawn out over 6 episodes with multiple flashbacks. The last episode has about 5 minutes of plot and was pretty much unnecessary. A 2 hour film would have been a lot better. It's no One Day or Flatshare but is pleasant enough for an evening watch.

Loved this show. The story is about two ex partners being thrown together on a trip to a friends wedding - joined by some great company (for the viewers if not for the characters). Flashbacks to how they met and the increasingly complex reasons for the breakup ensue. The show reflects the complexities of relationships and friendships without being too earnest- something a lot of romcoms fail to do. Throw in a great soundtrack, stunning scenery and strong performances and you have a great show.
Great use of flashbacks as the initially unthinkable chemistry between the leads is explained so you are fully rooting for them by the end. Lots of fun but also has some good themes. Does the trick perfectly for its genre and I binged it in a day.
