The football fraudster

The fascinating story of Medi Abalimba, a footballer, who tried to make it in the big league, but didn't make it, however he did want that lifestyle, and simply took it, by deceptive means.

It's a very well made documentary, nicely produced, well paced, with some interesting insights from experts, and those that knew him.

Is it hard to see how people fell for his charms, I would argue against, I can see quite why and how people fell for his charms, clearly intelligent, convincing and charismatic.

People just love a celebrity, especially a footballer. The driver made an interesting point, why would you check into the background of someone, answer, because most of us take people at face value, and would be a little dazzled by such a 'star.'

Medi is definitely something of a chameleon, although I struggle to see how anyone was duped into thinking he was Gael Kakuta, I mean on what planet.

Fact is often stranger than fiction, and that is definitely the case here.
