Fun and Interesting, great show for family watching. Gives magicians an opportunity to show their skills and entertain and amaze viewers. Dean Cain always represents everything good about America , and doesn't disappoint here. My Kids and grandchildren love this show. I've been around way to long to be fooled by most "magic" but some of these entertainers surprised even me. The show is fast moving and never boring, the magicians don't over stay their welcome. Masters of Illusion is not Masterpiece Theater but it is a way to spend a small part of an evening of pure escapism. There isn't many Variety shows on television any more, the kind of stuff you would watch on the Ed Sullivan Show but this is one of them. Like I said "Great Family Show" , give it a chance if you are looking for a little fun, but don't take it too seriously.
It seems they intentionally want the show to appear cheesy, cheap with cheap acts, every now and again there is a winner but few and far between.
There is one thing that I hafta say. It is that I find "Masters Of Illusion" to be a beautiful show to watch & it's all because of the magicians whom come on the show to showcase their magical talents, entertaining the audience including Dean Cain himself. I remember watching this show on MyNetworkTV when I was a little boy & it was so amazing. I'm also happy that The CW usually airs this show during Saturday Nites & that makes me feel good. I even like the background music which plays when the performers do their magic tricks & this ("Masters Of Illusion") happens to be the same show I decided to watch tonite as opposed to wasting my time with watching some stupidity called "The Kids Choice Awards".

Watching this show is like eating popcorn. Delicious popcorn. You can't get enough. You keep stuffing more and more into your mouth and still you can't get enough. It's fun. It's fast. It's magic! OK,so some people take the title too seriously and object that these aren't really "masters" of magic. Uh, that's called salesmanship, kids. Don't take it so literally. Some of the magic on this show is truly amazing. Some of it is kind of cheesy. But it's all good. Oh, and one more thing. You want beautiful girls? This show has more beautiful girls than any other show on TV! It's retro. It's future. It's now. It's cool. It's hip. It's jazzy. So watch, relax....and enjoy the magic!
Not really worth waiting through commercials to watch and card tricks are so overdone if they pull out a deck it's fast forward time. Some of the illusions are great but it seems like a lot of filler acts are included. Lots of magic tricks lost their appeal when I figured out one of the greatest tricks ever at the 'Dixie Stampede' in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. If there's the quintessential beautiful girl barely wearing a costume just remember good things are often a matched set. Who knows if she has an identical twin??
Who knows if that random audience member has been training for months to appear with different magicians on different shows?
