Wild Genius is a cool documentary that gives you a peek into the wild mind of Robert Trivers, a legendary evolutionary biologist who's come up with game-changing ideas about how animals (and people) behave. The film breaks down his big concepts like altruism and self-deception with awesome nature shots that make the science easy to follow. What really hooks you, though, is getting to know Trivers as a person-he's blunt, quirky, and doesn't hold back when it comes to his opinions on science and life. A true original, showing how biology, behavior, and a man's own inner battles can all tangle up into something pretty profound. If you've ever been curious about deceit, self-deception and a long list of other behaviors we practice, this one's worth your time.

This documentary blew me away. I usually went to therapy or spiritual literature to gain insight about our human nature but here in this doc Robert Trivers shares incredible new ways to think about us humans and why web behave the way we do. The film describes some of his work like reciprocal altruism and parent child conflict in a genetic level and many more new and profound ideas that overturn many of the tenets and sacredly held beliefs of earlier attempts to describe and explain human behavior. This doc invites you really to study more on your own afterwards to really 'grok' the fundamental new insights about our human (and not only human) behavior. Well shot by director and editor Susan Kucera this film is a must view for anyone who wants to understand more about what makes humanity tick and why we do what we do,

Robert Trivers seems to be someone that the general public has not heard of which is amazing in and of itself because he was such a key figure in changing our ideas about psychology and even game theory. This was a captivating narrative into his wild life and his scientific theories and his passion for social justice. A must watch for anyone interested in human and animal behavior and unconventional genius (although Robert Trivers doesn't like the term genius). He is relatable and a deeply complex, intellectual force whose ideas continue to shape modern thought. On his theory of deceit and self deception - I can think of more than a few public figures who could benefit from seeing the film.
