    Underrated music and video

A truly great original song composed for the nearly forgotten masterpiece "Rumble Fish" yet is heavily underrated, that kind of song that flies under the radar of most folks. And it got a music video for its promotion and the forementioned film.

The Police drummer Stewart Copeland and singer Stan Ridgway join forces to deliver an electric performance of "Don't Box Me In", with Copeland playing drums and other instruments as Ridgway sings and smokes on a soundstage. Along with their act there's the savage poetry of "Rumble Fish" through countless clips of its stars (but I wonder why Vincent Spano and Laurence Fishburne were ommitted from view).

The duo moments are shown in the same manner as the film, a magnificent black-and-white which puts you right into the story downer mood, but the song has more drive, beat and energy. It totally fits the movie and the idea of breaking rules, following a certain ideal, a different path far from the common, and a real sense of rebelness typical of youth.

Here's one of the finest soundtrack clips ever made, and also one that needs to be rediscovered. 9/10.
