Best Show I've seen in years

Dying for Sex is raw, honest, hilarious, and deeply moving. I absolutely loved it. What starts as a bold story about a woman exploring her sexuality after a terminal diagnosis quickly becomes a beautiful exploration of friendship, healing, and living life on your own terms. The acting is phenomenal-especially the lead, who brings so much heart and vulnerability. I laughed, I cried, and I walked away feeling more alive. This show isn't just about sex-it's about reclaiming joy in the face of grief. Watch it. You'll be glad you did.

I just got an IMDB account to tell you this. That's how much I loved it.

    Truly refreshing

A lot of people won't like this show because they just want another joyful, beautiful love story about a dying wife being taken care of by her devoted husband. Well, that's not what you'll get here and it is also not reality. Terminally ill women are not victims or props who lose their personalities or desires. They have the right to live and die the way they want to. And to leave a marriage that's broken.

This is a powerful show with phenomenal performances by Williams, Slate and Delaney. I watched it in one sitting. Since I am sick and can't do anything else. For months. And I am glad i didn't have to watch another show about how beautiful dying is...

The most hilariously sexy, tragically beautiful, incredible thing I have ever seen!

I saw a trailer for this tonight and immediately went to Disney to start it - except I could not stop. Turning it off was not an option, I was swept away, fully immersed. Dying fr Sex was awkward and honest, hilarious and kinky, and the most achingly, beautiful portrayal of friendship, self-discovery, healing, and dying that I have ever seen. I could not tear my eyes or my heart away from this series. The moments between women, nonbinary, and LGBTQ+ characters were poignant, intimate, and soul-crushingly beautiful - whether they were in storerooms, hospital rooms, or bathrooms. The complexity of relationships, the absolute and total respect for boundaries, the raw and unflinchingly honest portrayals... ugh. This show had me sobbing and smiling in equal measure - the story will stay with me. I'm just blown away.

And it would not be such a smashing success without the incredible performances, namely Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Esco Jouley, Rob Delaney, and Kelvin Yu. Wow. Williams is always incredible and this was among her best work. And Slate - I love her, she shined so bright in this. They all did.

The cinematography and directing, the lighting and music - everything about this was gorgeous, intentional and meaningful. WOW!

Just a fantastic limited series. I will absolutely watch this again.

    Just beautiful stuff here..

I still can't decide if this was the best or worst thing to watch while agonizing through a current covid infection, but wow. I'm weak and on meds, hyper aware of who is (or will ever be) there for me when I really need them, that coupled with a pretty rough couple years otherwise medically, this series really shattered me. We all wrestle with these thoughts and this show paints it so thoughtfully and beautifully. May we all have someone like Nikki. Michelle Williams is of course perfect, Jenny Slate just the best work I've ever seen her do, Rob Delaney was lovely, Esco Jouléy was exceptional, and I was so jazzed to see Robby Hoffman as well. Everyone was truly in masterclass form. Remove eye makeup before watching, I watched the entire series in one sitting and just shut the tv right off after, I've laughed, I've sobbed, I'm emotionally drained, literally. But it was so worth it. Emmys and Globes don't let me down.

Ps: to any pearl clutchers (or claspers if you will) in the reviews; ART HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY TO BE PALATABLE OR MORAL FOR YOU. Not everyone is you, we're all on our own journey, and if THIS series doesn't get that through to you, then you're a lost cause. *tips hat*

    Wow.

I don't have a lot of words after finishing this. As a cancer survivor, they really nailed it. As someone exploring what intimate life can be like after a cancer diagnosis strips away your identity, knocked it out of the park. Beautiful performance by Michelle as always. Stunning emotion driven performance by Jenny. I found it incredibly realistic in many aspects and couldn't look away. One of the more graphic shows I've seen but that wasn't an issue for me as it seems to be so many, given the negative reviews. Hysterical, touching, devastating. We need more realistic representation of the good, bad and ugly sides of this bastard of a disease.
