Hawker

This short film brings light to an important yet for many unknown figure. I had not heard of Major Lanoe Hawker VC myself, and through family was shown this film, as well as the filming and production.

I was blown away with the effort undertaken to create an authentic WW1 film with the money and resources available. The graphics and effects have been applied better than some of the Hollywood titles we see today!

The film is a great watch, the acting is genuine as are the costumes, it is clear that there was great attention to detail during filming, I found myself moved by the end. Whilst the short film mostly covers the events of 25th July, I hope one day to see a full length feature film.
