Boy have we got the movie for you!
John Gallagher Jr. Is awesome as always. It has a few good scares and is actually a pretty well made movie, but dear god, the baby crying.

Just dull from the beginning. A couple buy a house from a creepy retail agent (and don't even look in all the rooms or check windows or any of the things people buying houses check) and move in. They meet a creepy neighbor who just walks into there house because "that's the way things are done around here".......
Conversations with long pauses before replies aren't atmospheric. They're unrealistic.
Dismissed.

WTH was that? I have no idea what I just watched. I was totally lost with the ending. Maybe there was some subliminal message there but whatever it was went right over my head. Movie was extremely slow and just all around dull. Not a film I'd watch again or recommend. 4 stars.
I don't think I have every watched a movie where a crying baby was the highlight of the show. It was extremely loud and annoying. And the cries didn't even match the babies expressions. Once of the few movies where I had to skip the majority of the scenes where they try to soothe the crying baby. Wish it had more to do with the haunting... if there was even one. Would have liked to know more about the ghosts but maybe i just missed the story because of all the fast forwarding I had to do. Could have been a lot better had the focus been on the thriller part and not all about the screaming crying baby.
I'll make this quick, if you don't mind a baby crying in 40% of the film, extremely boring dialog, Emma Roberts being emotionless and a drawn out story of so call eeriness, than have at. The only horror there was, was watching it.

- TriviaEmma Roberts went in bare feet for most of the movie. The film crew teased her about it by nicknaming her "little Julia",a reference to her aunt, actress Julia Roberts, who is well known for going barefoot in movies and public events.
- GoofsWhen Sara plays a record in the baby's room, the song that plays is the Classic IV's "Spooky", but the album on the turntable is side two of The Beatles 'Hey Jude' album, evident by the Apple records logo and the long record groove of the first song, that being the 7 minute 11 second song "Hey Jude".
