What a delightful 45 minutes spent with Hannah Waddingham and her guests. It's a deeply personal and all around lovely performance. Several special guests and of course the Ted Lasso crew. Some funny moments and some sentimental ones as well. She is a talented singer like her family before her. What's most enjoyable however is her enthusiasm for the evening and the experience of sharing it with her friends and family. It's just the fun and joyful show we need this season. I hope she does a few more of these over the years to come. I may have to watch this again on Christmas Eve with the family. Sit back with the family and enjoy.
This is a fun Christmas variety show that will appeal to fans of Ted Lasso, and of variety shows in general. Hannah Waddingham serves as the host of this special, To nobody's surprise, she is quite an amazing singer, and belts out many Christmas standards, both old and new.
While Waddingham is excellent, and is paired well with special guests including but not limited to special guests like Leslie Odom Jr. And Luke Evans, it falls flat when it comes to everything else. Instead of being Waddington's show, it feels more like a Ted Lasso reunion. Almost every major character from Ted Lasso makes an appearance.
While I am not opposed to cast reunions, the fact that Ted Lasso only recently ended its run, made the cast's appearance distracting, to me and took away from her performance, when in reality, it should have been Waddington's show.
That said, this is still a very fun variety show that will appeal to all ages.

Hannah Waddingham's been a prominent entertainer for over a decade, both in song and acting. One of her notable roles has been on "Ted Lasso", although I haven't seen it; she also co-starred on the Netflix series "Sex Education". Here she hosts a yuletide extravaganza in the London Coliseum, with the Gay Men's Chorus participating. "Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas" features her performing with a number of people, with all sorts of tricks. Every part of this 44-minute special is the perfect balance of camp and Christmas cheer. I hope Hannah Waddingham does more of these things. She is one fine gal!

This has been by far the most wonderful Christmas music special, that I have ever seen. I simply adore Hannah Waddingham as the amazing, actress, singer and multi-talent that she is. She deserves to be the spearhead of a generation of strong women in acting and this special only highlights her impressive abilities, as a multi-talent.
Her voice is wonderful and her Christmas album that accompanies this show, is also highly recommended.
And to be honest, while the Ted Lasso Crew was nice to see - I didn't need them, she is the shining light and may her light continue to shine and this be repeated.
Thanks for almost 50 minutes of joy, happiness and awe.

One of the most soulless, empty and fake shows I have ever seen. Middle of the road "standards" are not my kind of music I admit, I'm more of a Dumpy's Rusty Nuts man, but I tuned in because I love anything Christmassy and I liked the star in previous things I've seen her in. Throughout the show, I I had the nagging and distracting feeling that the events on stage were not filmed anywhere near an audience. It all just looked so false and cynical.
Plus, of course it's pandering, and oh so very camp. Aren't we hilarious? I would have thought they would have trusted in her talent enough just to get her up there singing without these kinds of gimmicks.
