...what a show! I'm an amateur grower of other people's seeds, I have little interest in 'finding' my own strain, but it was amazing to see the world of the people who are dedicated to finding that next killer-hot variety of chilli.
Production value was great, top notch watch. The characters they chose to follow were diverse and really interesting. The storylines were captivating. The narrator (or script writer) had a great sense of humour and kept the episodes flowing nicely.
I can't but give this a 10/10, best entertainment I've had in a long time. Really hoping there's a season two, I'll be there with my next harvest of chillies 🙂

Okay, here's my take on this:
(For what it's worth, a close friend of mine is a competitive eater in the spice world, and I have mistakenly tried to keep up with hot challenges on more than one occasion, so maybe this speaks more to me than the average viewer.)
As far as personalities, I think they chose the perfect people to represent this subculture! This is such a fun watch.
From a knowledge standpoint, I feel like I did learn a LOT about the pepper community from this, and it never felt like a lecture. I had briefly experienced this culture, but only tangentially. I love the opportunity presented here and I can only hope for more as this series continues.
I'll take an extra bite from my Carolina Reaper jerky and look forward to a follow up series! Cheers.

I have grown a plethora of peppers for 9 years, including superhots, and have been a part of the Global Chili Community and a professional League of Fire pepper eating athlete for over 4 years. Brian Skope and his team went above and beyond to share with the world the multifaceted dimensions of the pepper community. The videography is amazing. There is a bit of a Hollywood spin in the series. But the people are real, the pepper eating completions are real, The growers and product producers are legit. It will tug on your heart strings to hear the stories of the main players. I would have loved to hear more of Shahina Waseem's (the UK Chilli Queen's) back story. But I binge watched the whole thing...and I'm watching currently watching it a second time. I loved the Superhot series and appreciate the time and care that was dedicated to making this show to give the world a glimpse into our unique, creative, competitive, and loving community...and include the science behind it. Phenomenal!!!
The show is so much fun to watch and about such an unusual subject that really piqued our interest! The interwoven storylines that focus on the pepper eaters, the sauce makers and the pepper growers works sooooo well! The way they all link together and continuously entertained us was impressive.
This will be enjoyed by everybody, not just those people who already understand the world of peppers and hot food!
The production and creative expertise is top-notch. The director and the professionals who made this are at the top of their field, evidently.
The cast were real and that was very endearing.
10 out of 10! Highly recommended!

This series is a nice look at the surface of the community I've had the privilege of being part of for the past 6 years. I personally know some of the people in this show and have interacted with most of the rest. They definitely showcased the broaded veiw of the community, so i hope the can dive deeper into the groups and what we like to do on a daily. We really are a family. I hope they continue to show more of this world to people outside and allow some of the misinformation that's out there to be corrected. I'm hoping for
more seasons because there is so much more to show of the community and alot more people deserving of mention. Good job Hulu.
