I liked this sport drama for the most part. I think it was good. I liked that they talked about cycling. I felt like the show was a little bit long for my liking but beside that I was good. There was enough drama to keep my entertained the whole time. I liked watching a few episodes at a time. I couldn't binge watch the series from start to finish in a couple of day. But it was still good enough to finish it. It was a fun watch for sure. The character development that was done in the story was done super well. The script was good. The animation style was nice and good looking.
I just rewatched this. It seems to be one of those feelgood animes you can watch every year. Great characters and I even like the "villains" in this one. Mido has such a great backstory you can't help feel something for him even tho he's kinda rude lol. Great songtrack, good comedy and addictive. Bringing 4 seasons and days fly by... Can't wait for season 5 this october.
These series made me watch all sports anime available in streaming apps. Mind you, I don't bike, and the main character's an otaku, but watching him have fun, and struggle to win so he can have more friends to enjoy his interests with, that's what being in a team sport is.
Like literally, you feel like you should just get a bike and cycle by watching this anime. It has such a upbeat vibe to it that has such positive energy that makes you totally wanna do something and cycle! Loved the comedy, romance and teamwork that's put to this anime. You'll even get to know a lot more about bikes too that you never even know of before!
If you're a sporty person or just are bored, watch this anime! The characters and storyline are just entertaining to watch!

One of the best sports anime I have watched recently. The exciting moments gets you on the edge of your seat. It get you on your feet due to excitement and motivates you to go cycling. The story, characters, music and direction all of them are 10. It is a good mix of drama and comedy. It always keeps up with drama and comedy perfectly so you never get bored out of it. Must Watch!

- TriviaThroughout the majority of the episodes, Onoda can be seen wearing a Catlike Kompact Pro helmet. This led to the Spanish brand releasing it's own limited edition helmet in 2015.
- GoofsThe cycling shorts design the cyclists wear (which extends upto the waistline like traditional shorts), as shown by the Hakogaku cyclists, became less and less common since the 1980s as they became constraining to wear. Cyclists had to wear suspenders to hold them together. Manufacturers solved this issue by incorporating suspender like design which became bibshorts, which became common for cyclists, to wear, even for a high school team. As this covers up the lower torso and part of the upper torso, extending over the shoulder; Izumida would not be able to show off his abs and part of his pectoids.
