Chapter 3

Assane has a new goal. He has learned that his mother is being held for ransom and the price is a Manet painting, worth millions. The point of this episode is to infiltrate a gang of thieves, led by a psychotic guy, who will kill a childhood friend on a whim. Assane uses extreme measures to be the driver on an armed car robbery. He has some close calls where his life hangs in the balance. Mixed in with this is the fate of the black pearl which is the most highly prized. Along the way, we get to know how Assane learned to be a thief and how he learned to defend himself. Once again, we must suspend disbelief like crazy to think this could be pulled off. Still, if you're willing to do that, it's quite entertaining.
