The Marvel Cinematic Universe will feature a brand-new team as the first family in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The cast will also include Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, who has given a cheeky response about his preparation for the role.
The McU's first family will consist of Quinn, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/ Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/ The Invisible Woman, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/ The Thing. The excitement for the new reboot is high, especially as it had been long in the making and the previous three attempts at adapting the comments weren't so successful. Set to premiere on July 25, 2025, Joseph Quinn told L'Officiel USA how he prepares for the role.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 Episode 1 has finally arrived after an excruciating summer-long wait, and we’re picking right back up where we left off.
Several major characters were missing from the episode following the shocking events of last season’s finale.
There was tension between doctors, a couple of familiar faces made surprising returns, and a big announcement finally made its way out. Let’s dig in!
(Disney/Ser Baffo) Jo’s Secret Finally Comes Out
After finding out she was pregnant, Jo struggled with how to tell Link since they had just decided to wait before having more children.
Schmitt had a hard time keeping the news to himself throughout the episode, and it was totally on-brand for his character.
His clumsiness is why we fell in love with him during his first appearance in Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 1.

Royal author and expert Tom Quinn claims Meghan Markle has set her terms before she will return to the UK.
As Monsters and Critics have reported, Meghan Markle is not the first royal wife to offer terms before agreeing to anything, if the reports are accurate.
According to her biographer, Robert Jobson, in Catherine, the Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queen, Kate Middleton, Meghan’s sister-in-law, set certain conditions before she married Prince William.
Kate knew her mind and allegedly restricted her time, which charities she would patronize, and how she wanted her children raised.
Meghan must have been watching and learning as she entered the Royal Family as Prince Harry’s wife because she allegedly spoke out about returning to the UK.
Meghan has been avoiding returning to the United Kingdom, even after King Charles and Kate have been battling for their lives this year. If these new revelations are authentic,...

Clear the way and make room, for The Serpent Queen is coming, and she is not happy!
If there is one thing anyone who has seen this series can say, it’s that the show is not afraid to play fast and loose with its characters.
The Serpent Queen displays a unique talent to keep the pace from declining or the story going stale.

Though the characters are more or less dealing with the same issues they’ve had since the start of Season 2, the series has managed to keep things fresh.
The Serpent Queen’s story slithers into the hearts and minds of fans, consuming them completely with its powerhouse of actors and ridiculously impressive costuming.

Goodbye HBO Max, hello Max. Warner Bros. Discovery announced several weeks back that the company was dropping the "HBO" from the name of its flagship streaming service, and that day has come. What does that mean for you, the subscriber? For one, it means a lot more movies and TV shows will be streaming in 4K, and the list of initial titles is pretty impressive. There are, however, a few caveats.
Those who wish to watch movies like "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Argo" in Ultra HD will need to be subscribed to the new tier offered by Max called "Ultimate Ad-Free." This goes for $19.99 per month and includes access to the service's library of 4K movies and TV shows. There is also a plan with ads for $9.99 per month and a regular ad-free plan for $15.99 per month. Sudheer Sirivara, Global Technology Platform for Warner Bros. Discovery, had this to...

For most movies about true historical events, the focus is on making sure the details are period-perfect down to the last button–lest a horde of angry, persnickety historians launch an attack and pull the film apart. But in the hit Hulu Catherine the Great series The Great (2020-Present), creator Tony McNamara uses anachronisms intentionally to centralize those who would normally be sidelined by history–namely the women. The result isn’t accuracy but authenticity: the story may take place centuries ago and the characters might be long dead, but because of how much we recognize from our own time, it has an immediacy that many historical films lack. The anachronisms range from minor details (modern haircuts) to major historical accuracies (Catherine’s mother was dead before her marriage and thus unlikely to sleep with her husband). The result feels both anti-historical and truthful.

Nicholas Hoult has revealed that he had to pull out of a role in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One after Tom Cruise approached him.
The seventh film in the action franchise, which will be released in July, almost featured Hoult, 33, as its primary villain.
In January 2020, news of Hoult’s casting broke, with writer and director Christopher McQuarrie posting a (now-deleted) photo of the actor to Instagram, with the caption “Say, @nicholashoult, care to raise a little hell?”
Hoult then responded: “Love to. Though why stop at a little?”
But just months later, Bad Boys actor Esai Morales, 60, replaced Hoult in the role.
Speaking in a new interview with The Guardian, Hoult said he had three quite big career disappointments in a row. “I screen-tested for Batman and didn’t get it. Screen-tested for Top Gun, didn’t get it.

Toronto film festival: The Girls creator handles an adaptation of Karen Cushman’s much-loved novel with wit and creativity
Catherine Called Birdy, Lena Dunham’s thoroughly enjoyable adaptation of the millennial YA classic by Karen Cushman, opens in the mud. Fourteen-year-old Catherine, played with gusto by Game of Thrones’s Bella Ramsey, rolls in the dirt with her village friends, relishing the filth that coats her clothes, her cherubic face, her curtain of dark hair. The year is 1290, in the English shire of Lincoln, and Catherine is about the enter the muck that is adolescence – an indignity and a romp that Dunham, who captured both in the unfairly dismissed HBO series Girls, turns into a delicious treat.
It’s a welcome return for Dunham, whose previous feature as a writer-director this year, Sharp Stick, her first since 2011’s Tiny Furniture, was a strange disappointment. Whereas Sharp Stick’s coming-of-age plot,...

Historical figure Catherine de Medici gets the period-drama-with-a-twist treatment in Starz’s “The Serpent Queen,” as the show finds a unique way to tell the story of the Italian-born French queen, who influenced the politics of her adopted nation for decades.
Starring Samantha Morton as the grown-up queen, Catherine tells her story to a young woman employed in the kitchen at her court – Rahima (Sennia Nanua) – explaining to her (and the audience) how she’s survived, found agency and even thrived in a court initially unfriendly to a young Catherine (played by Liv Hill), and always dangerous. But while breaking the fourth wall, or at least turning and talking to camera, which often stands in for Rahima, may feel fresh for a television series, it is inspired by classic theater works.
“Direct address, it’s been around since the ancient Greeks and Shakespeare, but it makes something incredibly urgent,” executive producer Justin Haythe told TheWrap.

The odds of having your short film included in this year’s Sundance Film Festival are .008 percent. Out of the 66 short film line-up (selected among 8,161 submissions) we find actress Rose McGowan move behind the camera for her directing debut (Dawn), we have Ain’t Them Bodies Saints producer Toby Halbrooks shovel out Dig (see pic above) and Todd Rohal (The Guatemalan Handshake) returns to the fest in between features with Rat Pack Rat. Filmmaker Magazine New Faces of Independent Film director Dean Fleischer-Camp rolls up his shirt sleeves with Catherine, Matthew Lessner returns to Park City with the helping hand Chapel Perilous while The Strange Ones (’11 accepted short) co-helmer Christopher Radcliff won’t be making a dissappearing act with Jonathan’s Chest. Finally docu feature-film helmer Lucy Walker moves into The Lion’s Mouth Opens. I’ll of course be covering several of these – look out for our coverage.

Camp wrote in an email: It’s a comedy, but it’s also sincere and menacing and hopefully kind of evocative. In some ways it’s a response to the “awkward” comedy that dominates TV & movies right now. My secret hope is that it kicks off a new movement away from that kind of boring cynicism toward something with a live, beating heart. A single-entendre sense of …...
